Maybe he can sell his Emmy on eBay.  I think he gonna need the moolah for those expensive NY defense attorneys.   coolsmiley

I have to apply the same standards to Cuomo as I wanted applied to Kavanaugh…innocent until proven guilty. I do not abide to the court of public opinion.

I don’t like the guy or his brother but I will not condemn him before he’s had his day in court.

I heard some of his press conference yesterday and I have to say I myself still use words like “sweetheart” when addressing women and there have been times I’ve put my hand on the back of a person when passing them in tight spaces. It’s something I picked up working in tight kitchens years ago so the cooks or chefs know you’re behind them.

As for the other accusations, this will all have to be played out.

I stated in the beginning,
sex scandals are to cover up the nursing home murders he did and now this protects the other four democrat govs that also murdered nursing residents.
NJ murphy went one step further and also murdered nursing home residents in a veterans home.

cosby was made an example since he was talking to much against the democrat party agendas to harm the young people. so he had to go.

Its not really the court of public opinion, he was investigated and found the allegations true unlike Kavanaugh that was investigated and found innocent. It was also not when he was a teenager and I have not heard one allegation from anyone that Kavanaugh held a woman's breast. Something one of Cuomo's accusers did.

An investigation found that Gov. Andrew Cuomo sexually harassed multiple women in and out of state government and worked to retaliate against one of his accusers, New York's attorney general announced Tuesday in a finding that quickly renewed calls for the Democrat's resignation or impeachment

I find his lack of acceptance and repentance of his actions coupled in trying to make a deal to stay in power at least for awhile repulsive at least.

This is what we have in many who are in government today, this is a prime example of the repulsive nature and acceptance of total debauchery like Bidens son that is like a cesspool. Whats more amazing the public acceptance of this kind of actions and having them accepted in government as making laws pertaining to the people they govern.

Addressing a woman as "sweetheart"...I've only done that with my wife and four daughters. Terms of endearment are meant for those that are, in fact, "dear" to you.

In my time, I've had the privilege of working with a number of women that were fantastic to work with and very reliable. Some were extremely attractive, we thought a lot of each other but in the end...it was always a first name basis and nothing more. On my final day when I retired, my wife said I needed to go talk to my boss...a lady I had worked close with for most of my 30 yrs. there. We had a nice warm chat, talked about the past 30 yrs. we've spent working together, had some good laughs over it...but then it was time to go. When we stood up, we looked at each other, then a final embrace...the first one after those many years. We had seen each other through sickness, health, divorce, child birth...all of it. I then told her I loved her...she knew exactly how I meant it, not the same as with my wife waiting in the adjoining office. In all those years, not once did I use the term "sweetheart" or "honey" or any other similar term. Not with her, not with anyone...except my resident bedwarmer; my wife. It's not appropriate, it's not acceptable, and generally meaningless.

My wife was amused after the retirement party, spending a few minutes cleaning my cheeks which she claimed were covered with all different shades of lipstick. I told her the pleasure was all mine.  Wink

According to morning news, one of the leading ladies against this guy, said he walked up to her put his hand under her shirt and cupped her breast.   His claim that times have changed with relations with women.  I am little older than him and that was not acceptable back when I was young.

He has gotten away with for years.   Nothing new.

Yeah, I think there is a difference between him and Kavanaugh, who as said to have done something in his college days by a "lady" who could remember when and where.

I also have worked with women.   After 20 years of working with men only, when going to the field (Forest), having women along created some issue.   Normally after a 2 hour drive over rough roads one would Just get out of truck and water a tree   Having women created some interesting issues.   2funny

I have just a couple times used the term sweetheart for a female non loved one.

It wasn't a term of endearment.  And it wasn't taken as one either.   Grin

Women are guilty of the same behavior at times. Especially the use of sweety, sugar, hone, ect. Of course I knew it was (I think) just their way and not a come on. Putting your hands on someone is different. As a manager in the retail world for 20 plus years, I never thought about putting my hands where they didn’t belong, just too much trouble to bring on oneself. Another issue for men that I don’t know how they deal with, but if I were a school teacher, I would wear a body cam at all times when dealing with either sex.

Maybe nowadays on the bodycam....

But I'm with all the rest of you. My parents raised me better than that. I.e. keep your hands and eyes where they belong. And use proper form of addressing them. I would rather be accused of being too formal than too casual.

If using the term sweetheart is illegal I guess I'm on my way to jail.  I believe Governor Cuomo is accused of much more than that.

My opinion is that he's a scumbag.  Whatever it takes to get him off the rails is a positive thing but I qualify that by saying not using falsehood or simply assumed wrongs.

Yes yes and yes again. I forgot there was an investigation, but let the facts come out in court.  Then he can be tarred and feathered or whatever else.

Cuomo has PLENTY to answer for  - 11 (that have come forward) on the sexual harrassment, untold hundreds (thousands  , maybe ?) for the nursing home fiasco. WHere do you want to start ?

I'm hear he's a bully to his staff but not an effective leader, a flirt and makes passes at women he finds attractive and is accused to touching some in inappropriate ways.   His own Attorney General says some of the allegations are true.   He's accused of being responsible for the deaths of over 15,000 elderly folks by forcing them into facilities already understaffed and under equipped to handle folks in their condition.

Resignation should not be the end of this.   NY seems to have a habit of electing Governors who end up be evicted from office the last few decades (with the exception of one but, I can't remember his name off the top of my head).   Seems like they also elected a Senator of three with less than quality resumes and desirable pasts.
Was always told we get the government we deserve.   coolsmiley

Yes, and for those who hold the position that he should stay in office until convicted there is some, some value to that thinking.  That would be what impeachment trial would be about.  On the other hand the accusations are serious enough to be a great distraction and would interfere with his ability to be an effective leader.  That is what resignation is about.

I believe he is making the right choice.

I’m glad he’s gone (or soon to be) I’m still not a 100% that he is. He is shady enough, with enough ego to not leave in the 14 days he said. (12 now) For those who are talking about him calling them “sweetie”. That is subterfuge. He has done much more it is apparent to me at least.

I believe he is making the right choice.

For himself, not for the voters in NY.   If impeached, he could never serve again.   But, this way leaves a door open should the charges be dropped and he could run again.

As I said, we get the government we deserve.   I'm sure there are folks who would still support him.

Since he has resigned, the impeachment is now being called off. He'll get away scot-free I believe.
