Got the old bike running after carb rebuild.

Man...does that ever make ya feel good when you put all those little parts back together nice and clean and shiney. Put some gas in an external tank hanging on the handlebar, open its petcock and waiting until it quit gurgling which told me the bowls are full. Turned on the key, hit the starter and with just a few rpm it started with a roar. Can't take it for a ride yet since the clutch and brake m/c are waiting parts for a rebuild, but sure was nice to hear that familiar growl. So far it idles great, have it set to about 700 rpm.

Going to run it some more before mounting the tank...just in case, but don't think anything will show up at this stage. Now it's a matter of cleaning the bike real good and putting it all back together. I'll have to modify the fairing mounts, reattach the air horn inside the right pod...then mount the pods. Once the m/c overhaul are done and system bled I should be ready for a ride.
