Guys

Along with pulling the top box,

Any ideas on what break light from Honda models that fit the Valkyrie

I have fitted a standard small one as a short term

Again getting parts local that fit valkyrie specifically is tricky

The BRAKE light is the same on the shadow Ace I believe.

You might need a Valk's rubber gasket ($16.25) since the Valk has a huge cavity molded in the rear fender for the tail light. The Shadow Ace 1100's gasket has just an outline shape that's designed to seal aroung the edge.

The word is that a couple other Hondas (including the Shadow Ace) use the same tail light as the Valk, but the mount plate is supposedly not a quite right fit for the fender cutout.  I think they use the same lens. They have been made to fit and work, but I don't know any more detail.

If you will access Honda tail light parts fishes for Valk and others, you can compare part numbers.

the Valk tail light has threaded inserts (internal threads), while the other options have a plate with male screws. It's a do they line up question?

BTW if you get the Radiantz multiple LED tailight for the Valk, it's directional alignment isn't right for the angle the fixture sits.  I was able to adjust it almost correctly, I think with a Dremel.  A bit disappointing considering the price over $100.  But it is very bright especially on braking and won't burn out.  Incidentally, I have found when LED's do fail it's always the connections.  Careful work with a soldering iron fixes them.

My old Radiantz led array in taillight has about a half dozen leds out.

I don't care.

I will say, an led array under an interstate trunk (shade) is brighter than in sunlight.
