How they gonna interrupt a man trying to enjoy a good river float?/s GREENEVILLE, Tenn. (WJHL) — A man was arrested after he floated down the Nolichucky River while naked and refused help from rescuers. The Greene County Sheriff’s Department says Troy Hunt jumped into the river near Ripley Island Road. Emergency personnel made numerous attempts to bring Hunt ashore, but he denied assistance. The sheriff’s office says he sang “God Bless the U.S.A.” as he floated downriver. Good grief…helicopters, fire trucks, police etc all to “ save” a guy from floating down a river on a log in his birthday suit. I think the guy with the binoculars was going for a closer look at the guys junk…just sayin.

Hey, the guy was riding a chunk of tree in a river that looked like it was possibly moving pretty fast. Probably from recent heavy rains. I can see why officials wanted to render aid. Most folks don't do this.
Not sure why he was naked and wanting to float down a possible flooding river, but what ever "floats your" boat.
