It's a tough decision but I had to do it.

Forced myself to gear on and bike out of garage.

Headed west out of Maggie Valley and on to the Blue Ridge Parkway.

WHEEEEEEEEEE!!!

60 F looking down at clouds.

When I lived in Clayton I had a favorite photo stop - Popcorn Overlook. Here there are so many to choose from but the Mile High Overlook is fast becoming IT.

Very few bikes and cars on the BRP . I think it was due to the recent torrential rain from Fred that killed about 30 people and destroyed a couple of bridges and a few roads here in Haywood County.

The BRP north was closed at the 215 junction. A bridge on 276 north from the BRP to Waynesville was destroyed. Along with a couple of camp sites and the Blue Ridge Motorcycle Campground

New Shinko felt really planted to the road.

Huge difference between tires;  My Avon Roadrider rear on front experiment was slippery as hell for 200 miles and I never trusted it until ditched at 6K.

My Michelin Commander II experiment (a front radial, but not the right size) stuck like glue with no release agent at all, from mile one.  But it wore out quickly too.

All the Shinkos I've bought have been swimming in release compound. A bit of caution is all until it's worn off.

Obviously, I'm clueless.   I was gonna suggest a Brillo Pad and Pressure Washer.   uglystupid2

I always order tires to the house.  Before install, I always scrub the heck out of them to get as much release agent off as I can.  But they still need to be ridden with some care after install.

After washing thourohly some 100 grit sand paper lightly. Even then some caution. Yuppers Shinko sure Do use a Lot of release agent. BUT when scrubbed in well lean as fer as ya dare!  coolsmiley RIDE SAFE.
