No internet at the house we are staying in while the kitchen in our main house is being ripped out and new cabinets installed.

We've jiggle and wiggled all the wifi connections.

Anywho we've fallen back to watching DVD's.

Last night it was US Marshals. Tommy Lee Jones and Wesley Snipes. 2 thumbs up.

Night before. Die Another Day. Pierce Brosnan. 2 thumbs down.

The first was old fashioned movie making. Big on location sets and a large cast and extras.

The second relied upon an explosion a minute and seem crafted by a group of 13 year old boys sitting around a basement table for 4 days wired on energy drinks and candy.

Previous entertainment was To Catch A Thief. Cary Grant. 2 thumbs up

The Last Stand. Arnold I'll be back. 1 thumb up.

Hopefully Thursday we'll be back with internet .

In the meantime I'm spending time at the kitchenless house using that internet connection during the day.

Me neither.  The only time I actually did that was when a pound (or so) of FFFG black powder went off in my right hand. I wasn't wearing a shirt, and it took off most body hair (and a bunch of skin) from beard to belly button.  Actually the biggest owwee I ever had in my whole life.  The kidney stone is a contender, but burns trump most any pain I can think off.

The (reasonable amount) of alcohol involved certainly impaired my better judgment in causing the accident, but it did absolutely nothing to dull the pain.  Neither did the first 100mg of Demerol.  But the 2d 100mg of Demerol did (10 minutes later), as it rendered me unconscious, which was bliss.

Aah, the sweet memories of our innocent days.

Sometimes you have to let others choose.

While not the same, since these are series, we got a subscription to BritBox and, after the evening meal and watching a little news, we switch to BritBox.

Lots of good series, some with a real heavy accent that require the use of the subtitles but.....  they did some really excellent series.

Don't know if any of them were, are, stilled by politics like most of ours are now doing but......

Just some examples

An Inspector Calls
Silent Witness
DCI Banks
