In the following example the side covers have part numbers shown but the grommets don't...only shows them encircled with a F-25 code. How do I find the part numbers for the grommets based on the F-25 code?

I'm going to make an assumption. The F-25 is a package of grommets. You can't buy just one. That low price certainly cannot be for the cover itself.

We don't know what parts fishe website that is. Otherwise, I would have looked for you. The first thing to do is back out of that sub-parts section, and see if they have an F-25 parts section. Or, a section (probably near the end) with miscellaneous small parts, one of which is F-25. Someone (me) just posted a link to an aftermarket seller, on Amazon, that had all the Valk sidecover grommets in a package for like $7-8 dollars. Here you go: https://www.amazon.com/Show-Chrome-Replacement-Grommets-52-691/dp/B0012TYYKUAnd I agree with Grandpot, if that site is listing side covers for 10 bux, go to another site and start over. Here's the one I use: https://www.procaliber.com/oem-parts?aribrand=HOM&arian=MOTORCYCLE

That's not the side covers:I should have noticed that. I was only looking at those grommets. I can't remember seeing any of those side-code (F25 type) parts in any Valkyrie schematics. A Honda bike dealer parts man might be able to explain it (them).

One side cover is close to $400 with tax etc.??????? I guess I know why one of mine is zip tied on. Just to get you up to speed on this thread...the side covers in my post are for a Honda CMX 500 and were only used as an example of how Honda sometimes displays parts in their schematics for various bikes...in this case it was side covers with part numbers shown and grommets with no part numbers shown but were encircled with a code F-25. The point of my post was to find out if anyone knew if the F-25 code could be used to get to the right schematic for the grommets to get the part numbers. in case you do lose a Valkyrie side cover they are $240 for the right side and $280 for the left (both in black)...no tax...free shipping https://www.ronayers.com/oemparts/a/hon/506cb640f870023420a417c7/side-cover

A Honda bike dealer parts man might be able to explain it (them). I posted my inquiry on another forum and found out what the codes mean....certain parts lookup sites have the schematics coded. In my example F-25 indicates the air cleaner schematic...and as I already knew the grommet was shown there along with part number. Now I know what the codes mean and can get to the right assembly when I run into these codes again. In the dropdown box there was 58 codes.

Googling F-25 Honda Grommets will not get you the part numbers for the side cover grommets. As I posted above the coding corresponds to a specific schematic. In the example the grommets for the side cover are not part numbered in the Side Cover schematic but are encircled and coded F-25. This means the grommets are shown and part numbered in the F-25 Air Cleaner schematic.

the parts sites that I buy from don't have those F-25's etc. I gather that the parts sites that do have the F-25's etc, oddly not all of them have the drop down menu for reference.

What is your favorite parts site to order from? .

The online sites that I buy from don't have the lowest prices. Factoring the delivery shipping drops it down at least for my zip area.

I don't care about parts pricing, shipping costs etc. What sites do you use?

I'm not going to recommend any sites mainly becuz miles may vary as far as your own experience with the supplier.
Meanwhile, that does not preclude you from posting the same question in it's own thread. Just provide your location.

I don't want any site recommendations...I use Ron Ayers Honda Online OEM parts lookup almost exclusively....usually has the best prices, free shipping on qualified orders and no sales tax. Do this for me then...On any of the sites you use look up a 2019 Honda CMX 500...go to the side cover schematic and tell what you see...the grommets are encircled and have the F-25 don't they. And if it doesn't name the site you used.

the online site that I use does have 'F-25' for the said grommets. As I stated earlier, these site which have a F-25 etc reference should also logically have the drop down menu, but oddly they don't. Or some do, but not all, oddly. That said, this has never been a problem with Valkyries and this is a Valkyrie forum.
