Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine created more antibodies than Pfizer/BioNTech’s in study of vaccinated Belgian health-care workers https://www.msn.com/en-us/health/medical/moderna-e2-80-99s-covid-19-vaccine-created-more-antibodies-than-pfizerbiontech-e2-80-99s-in-study-of-vaccinated-belgian-health-care-workers/ar-AANVz6q?ocid=BingNewsSearchA study comparing individual immune responses to two major COVID-19 vaccines has shown that Moderna’s created more than double the antibodies than that of Pfizer and BioNTech. The study involving 2,499 Belgian health-care workers who were vaccinated with two doses of either company’s vaccine was published on Monday in the Journal of the American Medical Association. The research showed that previously infected participants had higher antibody levels than those who had not been infected, but Moderna’s vaccine came out ahead for both groups. For those without previous infections, the antibody levels were 2881 units per milliliter among the Moderna candidates and 1108 for those who had the Pfizer -BioNTech vaccine. The study suggested a couple of reasons for the antibody level differences between vaccines, including a longer interval between shots for Moderna’s vaccine — 4 weeks — compared to Pfizer’s 3 weeks. As well, the researchers said the Moderna shot had a higher concentration of the key active ingredient used in both vaccines. Antibody levels were also negatively correlated with age among previously uninfected participants, with highest levels found among those under 35, the study showed. Apparently those of us involved in the Moderna Research and those who got the Moderna vaccine are better off. Just dumb luck on my part, once in a while even a blind squirrel finds a nut. Yeah, I'm very happy with my decision and looking forward to getting that booster shot that's being recommended. But, to be honest, it was the right decision for me even if I had received the Pfizer version. Rams

I've had the Moderna, wife had Pfizer - we went to different locations. At this point, neither of us have had the virus, but some of that maybe due to our social circles.

I've been reading different studies with different results. They seem to be all over the place. So to me it just gets more confusing the more i read.

Wouldn't even try to convince someone on which way to go, I believe you should think about what your concerns are with either path and consult someone (qualified) you trust. As I've said many times, it's up to each person to pick their own path. I'm happy with the path I taken. Rams

All official recommendations say booster shots should be the same flavor as the initial two. Other reports I've read say the mRNA vaccines should be fully compatible.
If I get my druthers, I'll go with Moderna.

If, I had options, I'd still go with Moderna. Whether it's good or not so good, I really don't have an option. Moderna is my only option if I want to stay in the research study and I do wish to do that. Contractually if I do anything else, I'm out of the research study. This is bigger than me so, it's worth it to stay with the program. My "spousal unit" feels the same way. Rams

Pfizer - "We waited until after the election to announce our vaccine as we didn't want to influence the outcome of the election." As if their withholding information did not indeed influence the election.
I may consider use of the Moderna treatment but under no conditions would I ever utilize the Pfizer version.

Carl I have no idea if you utilize the srvices of The V A but the West Plains clinic I use is poking us with Moderna. J & J was NOT an option for me or the West Plains clinic. RIDE SAFE.

Most of the folks I know have been jabbed. But, I've held off. With what is happening in Florida I've been thinking about it lately for some strange reason. There are just so many illegals being dropped off in our area and apparently many are testing positive. I don't have any plans of hanging around with any of them, but,,,
From what I've been reading, if I get it, I think it'll be Moderna. It appears to be the most effective especially after the first injection.

C'mon man, really? Now we not only have pro-vax vs anti-vax, but Moderna vs Pfizer, as well? Just another way to divide us? A few points: - I've seen reports saying Moderna is better, and others that Pfizer is better.
- Both Pfizer and Moderna delayed to impact the election.
- If you get the booster, getting the same one you got initially will give a better boost.
- And, last but not least, don't forget Moderna contains that evil SM-102 poison. (Ha, j/k; no, really.)

Some facts aren't facts apparently. But, what the heck. I've had so much poison pumped into me over the years i doubt whats in that vax would make much difference. That is ,if I decide to have it. I'm now tending to shy away ,again. I'm a man of real conviction.

Sometimes when using my GPS, I'm distracted, just not paying attention or late in recognizing what it's telling me and, there have been a few times it didn't appear to know where I needed to go admittedly. Yeah, I get lost once in a while and do make a U turn now and then but, eventually, I make it to where I need to get to. Eventually, the vast majority of us will develop antibodies, the path one takes to get there is strictly up to them. Rams

Rams Ron - while I agree with you, sometimes people just do not want to listen to good sense. Look upon the vaccines as the shortcut, with few if any negatives, and almost zero deaths / minimal hospitalizations / no "long Covid" symptoms.

I think the term 'good' is relative. What some may think of as good may not be to others.
People can do or think as they please, its still legal for the time being.
I don't try to convince folks one way or the other [ when it comes to this topic].
The vax may be a good thing overall, but, there have been some serious and deadly consequences .

Scot, Some of my best and longest friendships are with folks who don't wish/want to get vaccinated. When they ask, I give them my opinion, if they don't want it, then they don't. They are still my friends. I'm not a qualified medical expert on this topic but, I will share my personal experience with those interested. Rams
