on my Suzuki 90 when I was learning to ride. Some of the times it was to impress girls. (I doubt they were ever impressed). But I never tried to outrun the Cops to impress a girl. I wonder if he got to second base ?

I did a wheelie on my 1800 Goldwing today.  I was stopped, 1st in line, at a red light.  When the light turned green I leisurely entered the intersection which had buildings on all corners.  Just as I entered the intersection, I heard a siren and looked to my left and saw an ambulance approaching code 3.  By now I was in already in his lane (even though I had the green light) so I gave 'er all she's got and got about a foot of air under the front tire.  I may have to work on my sustained wheelies (or maybe not).  Ride safe.

Have only done something similar to that once, circumstances aside, it surprised the heck out of me.   I used to think I could do all kinds of stuff like that but have since learned that falling down hurts and chrome is expensive.   So I don't intentionally get too adventurous.   I just enjoy the ride, every trip is an adventure.

This past early summer, I bought my Valkyrie trike.   Was telling a fellow member of our group about it and the first question was, "Well, will it wheelie?".   I honestly don't know, don't think so but, it should have more "hook up" with those two wide rear tires.   Haven't tried and don't think I will.
Kind of back to that falling down and chrome attitude.  Wink

Yeah, I was taught by my father at an early age not to abuse vehicles.  No burnouts, wheelies, jumps, etc.  Part of the reason is we do our own repairs, and the other was we are cheap don't like to waste money.  Kinda goes along with the chrome philosophy.

My SuperValked I/S will easily wheelie.

I have other bikes which are better tools for that job.

Troutdude or anyone else, will a Valkyrie trike wheelie?

Just curious, doubt I'll ever try to find out.

I have never deliberately or otherwise did a wheelie on a motorcycle. When I was young, I did them on my bicycles routinely. Guess I grew up.....
