What is your favorite IWB holster? (Especially for Glock 43)

Like many, I have tried a few. Currently have Crossbreed. Has anyone tried Aliengear, or Galco Kydex IWB for Glock 43 or Glock 19?

I have a Crossbreed for my Kimber Ultra Carry II.  We the People Holsters for my Kimber Micro 9 Raptor.
The Crossbreed is top notch, as you have likely noticed.  All day comfortable.  The WTP is nice, good quality, all kydex.  Adjustable to 'FBI cant', and fairly comfortable.   Also, attaches to belt quickly.
I've used Galco and Desantis, both of which are not comfortable for my large, too much inside the waistband already, waistband.
Both the Crossbreed and WTP holsters stay open and are easy to reholster.
The quickest holster to put on for me is the JM4 Tactical magnetic holster, but being a 'universal' non molded holster, does not feel secure.  Gun moves around too much, but for casual carry, it puts on quick.

I know this doesn't answer your question about the Glock 43, but just my experience with different holsters in general.

I've been wearing a XD Sub-Compact .40 in an AlienGear IWB holster all day every day for many years and love it. First a 2.0, then a 3.5 and since they came out the 4.0 holsters...

I use a Galco for my 4” 686. It’s fantastic at hiding that beast. I also like it because it has straps so I don’t have to undo my belt to put it on or take it off.

I agree the Crossbreed is all day comfortable. Hence my hesitation at spending $ on another holster to try it and find out it isn't comfortable. (and then add it to the box of holsters. Tempted to try the Aliem=n or Galco.

That is good feedback. You might have just sold me on it.  Smiley

I'm not carrying a wheel gun, but am looking at a Galco leather/Kydex combo for the semi auto. Currently trying to decide between the Galco and Alien gear.

Have a couple boxes of holsters as I suspect most every long-time enthusiast does.  Learned long ago don't bother with anything with "universal" in it's description, or anything not formed to your exact model, or any of those ballistic cloth creations.  For IWB, all day comfort go to the hybrid Kydex with leather shield designs like Crossbreed.  The Kydex is stout, holds open well for re-holstering quickly and w/o looking - leather will soften particularly IWB models that will collapse inside your beltline so re-holstering gets impeded - you want to get that firearm out of your hand as soon as not needed to prevent tragedy with LEO's arriving, or other responsible armed citizens confusing you with a bad guy. There are quite a few companies making the hybrid design, I have several, all have been better than other designs.  Look for stout spring steel belt clips and models with tunable retention.  I found securing the screws holding the belt clips with blue Loctite is worthwhile.  You might want to look at models that support adjustable cant.  The FBI cant is popular.  Massad Ayoob has a lot of detailed advice on equipment including all the various holsters. Specifically in his book, Concealed Carry Vol 2, Beyond the Basics.
Beyond the holster, a strong, stout belt is really mandatory.  I use Instructor's gunbelts.  And hold them up with workmen's suspenders, modified with loops sewed to hold the belt, all covered with a cover garment - usually a CCW cloth vest with multiple pockets from Sportsmen's Guide - about $40.

Thanks Mark. As I mentioned l too have a box of holsters. I have good gun belts, and use a crossbreed for my  Glock 19. I just got the itch to try something new for the 43. The Alien and Galco look good, but I'm hoping not to add to the box! Ride safe, and shoot safe too.

I have at least one full box of holsters, and it's a pretty big box. I'd prefer to wear a shoulder holster year round, but that's certainly not practical 364 days out of my year. IWB wins out 90% of the time. Fall and Winter often allow for OWB due to heavier clothing and cover garments. Where I was going with this is that while I'd prefer to not carry IWB, most of the time I do. I almost always use Stealth Gear hybrid holsters. I have holsters from Crossbreed, Ozark, Alien Gear, N8 Squared (before they sold out), Galco, Desantis, Falco, Vedder, and probably a bunch more. The breathable, sort of padded backing Stealth Gear uses seems to work for me. All that said, one guy's "perfect holster" is sitting in the holster box of 100 other guys. Good luck in finding the one that works best for you. My next venture will probably be with Andrews Leather. I have had a few really high quality leather OWB holsters, but never a leather IWB holster. The MacDaniel II Crossdraw is calling my name.  http://www.andrewsleather.com/traditional.htm

I also have a pile of nice holsters, even for these two I mostly just put in my front or hip jeans pocket with no holster and an untucked Tshirt.    (I do have soft pocket holsters, among the pile)

Kahr CM9

Kahr P380 with Crimson Trace.

My pile started out all nice leather and gradually became all nice kydex.  And a few older original issue leather for wartime & police pistols.

Including this old military 1911 shoulder rig which is a surprisingly good and comfortable way to lug around a full size steel .45 auto.  (with cover)

Sadly, I'm entirely lacking in the ripped abbs department.

If your abbs are this good, you probably don't even need a pistol.   Grin

On the other hand, the W German police holster is just for looking at.

Sounds like we need to all get together at the next ride in and have a holster box swap meet!
