For those who (Wisely) avoid the Book of Faces, it looks like the hunt for the ground zero of Inzane 2022 is now underway...

The first tidbits of information:

Motomama:

And F6Gal:

So now I just need to analyze converging flights from that time period and see where they're meeting and then extrapolate from there a possible final destination...

Analyzing the timing of flights departing/arriving from our intrepid travelers airports, I think I'm ready to put forward my first WAG Serkle... I could be totally off, but I'm THINKING the theoretical ground zero (Which hasn't been close to being decided yet, they're still scouting locations I believe) is likely to lay somewhere in the red circle. Probably.

Hopefully we'll get some more hints and information to get some shrinkage soon... (Or at least confirmation we're on the right track.)

Well, I'm hoping for CO but, I wouldn't be surprised if InZane isn't in AZ and she flew out just to throw us off..................  She's a sneaky one ya know.... Wink

I can confirm that our scouting this week is within the Serkle.  However, contrary to Rams assertion, I was not tricky enough to fly out of AZ and then back in.  IOW, no, it's not in AZ.

Someone call George Costanza...

Please note, the only part of this shrinkage that's based on actual information is the removal of Arizona per F6gal's comment...

While I was removing things though I took the liberty of removing the possible parts of non-free states as well as areas I deem highly unlikely spots (Any of NM south of Santa Fe, the Texas Panhandle. Kansas. Nebraska. (Of course, before last year I would have given Ohio the same treatment, so I could be way off base!)

So with those changes baked in, we have this left (Reminder, this is just one crazy member's WAG, not anything official!)

The people from Nebraska are feeling a bit hurt.  There are a lot of open roads in Nebraska and some of their hotels are very willing to negotiate to fill a significant number of rooms.

P.S. Carhenge is outside of Alliance, Nebraska.

Always fun to guess this one

This last one I pegged    Would be curious to see if the Black Hills got a repeat or if there is a place that can handle us in Missoula or Cody

If so I would be game for another ride out west to visit my son in Seattle ( if they ever end the mask thing)  maybe returning on 2 to the UP

Not just Nebraska, I'm originally from KS and that felt like a quiver full of arrows to the heart.
You do realize  Cawker City, Kansas, has the largest ball of twine in the world.   Not to leave out the geographic center of the 48 contiguous or conterminous United States, determined in a 1918 survey, is located at 39°50′N 98°35′W / 39.833°N 98.583°W , about 2.6 miles (4.2 km) northwest of the center of Lebanon, Kansas, approximately 12 miles (19 km) south of the Kansas–Nebraska border.  I mean really, how can one pass up such opportunities.   Additionally, we could all stop off at MotoMama's Pie shop.  Wink

Good points but the hotels in those parts of Kansas are restrictively sized.  Also as a member of the staff I vote against any location close to my home.  It's my opportunity for a significant ride.

As for me (who cares, right?) I drive AROUND MN rather than set foot or spend $$ there.  And other places like the entire left coast, IL, the NE, the deep south (just too hot).  Pretty fond of mountain states.  Always cooler, good twisties and views.  Idaho comes to mind.

Kalispell would be awesome.  What a beautiful area.  Not sure the hotels are big enough. We loved our trip there a couple years ago.  Never enough time to see everything.

You're sure about who's feet those are?   Knowing these two, they may have had some gypsy take a photo of whoever's feet.   Those legs appear much too long to be either one of our wayward travelers.  Hmm   Undecided   Wait, is that flowers painted onto the "Big Toe Nails"   Well, we know who it isn't.

Those Western states are all squared off in shape.   If we can figure out which horizontal line on the floor is the Canadian border, maybe the position of the feet is a hidden clue to the location.

Hmmm... Interesting observation...  However if one zooms in on them they appear to have 5 petals not 3. The Columbine, the state flower of Colorado however has 5 petals like what's on her toenails... (Sego Lily has 3 petals)

I'll admit to having questions of this particular picture and this most certainly deserves some attention at the next InZane, thought it might be Willow.  Wink   But, I'm thinking it's accomplished precisely what it was intended to do, distract from the real question.    Where in the world are MM and F6gal?
