2000 Valkyrie. Just got it home, everything works great except today the low beam does not come on when I start the bike. High beam still works. I just got the bike I’m not very familiar with it yet. Does that sound like a fuse needs replaced? Any help appreciated, thank you

After checking that the light is not burned out, follow this thread to see if you're having the same problem: http://www.valkyrieforum.com/bbs/index.php/topic,118728.0.html

in the former post, the problem wasn't a low beam off while the high beam was okay, both both beams wouldn't go on. The headlight wire is routed through the start button and reconditioning the start button fixed things.

And usually it's easy to see the one (low beam) filament burned, but sometimes it's not easy to see.

The only time I ever use hi beams is to flash people, briefly.  I've lost a pile of low beam filaments and never a high.

We must not ride the same roads.

When I'm out after dark in the far unlit unknown, my high beams get used a LOT.

I run high beam all the time.  Except at night with oncoming traffic.  Mine is now an Eagle Lights Infinity Beam - LED.  But the power supply is the same even with my Hi-Power relay mod - of course not needed now but I installed it when it was still halogen with a 130/90 bulb.  Your problem is not a fuse - the same one powers Hi & Lo.  Look at the bulb first.  Then the dimmer switch. Lastly the lo beam wire from the dimmer switch.  Not likely the starter contacts as your Hi beam would also be out.
