One of our local Honda stealerships had the great wisdom to wire my running lights through my low beam headlight. It is pulling so much power that it has destroyed my starter switch, since Honda runs the headlight through that switch.  Got the new switch housing/switch ordered and rewiring the running lights to a seperate circuit.  Guess I'll be caging it for a while.  Takes 5 days to get the new switch. Yippee!!

How many times have you heard, "anyone with a Standard or a Tourer Valk that has not done the relay update ala Rattlebars" is just paying for some class A Honda mc mechanics retirement plan"? As much as I love Kirk, you have had this heads up more than a few times folks. Love the sinner, hate the sin.

"One should not hook any extra lights or anything else to any of the headlight wires unless one uses a relay. See my Foglites page for more info"---Straight from the first paragraph of the Rattlebars page Jeff set up the link to. Shocked  Wow, you'd think a Honda dealer would know better. Angry  This same switch has been used throughout the Honda line of bikes for years! uglystupid2

Hope to see you down this way again soon Doc Smiley
