So are you guys camping with that trailer? That's a real fancy rig. Or is that just for the guns? You do pretty well pacing those sport bikes with a wife and trailer in tow. The only time (in my life) I did 110 on a two lane was riding tailgun on my supervalk with 5 Beemers (no wife, no trailer). And that road was not straight and level. The Valk has the power, but the 850lbs is a disadvantage. I decided I should never do that again though. Trees next to the road make me queezy at stupid speeds.

Thanks Jess. No we are not camping. Sort of passed that phase many years ago. We just got tired of having to wash clothes on long trips (week or longer) so its for extra clothes, a nice cooler and a few other "gadgets".

You were lucky. Blood Mtn (3rd video) is a top cop hangout. So many wrecks happen on that section and reckless driving and riding.

Good to know. I rarely speed any more. Well if you call going 60 in a 55 then I guess I do.

Great area these two video's. I love the Silver Wing, it looks really sharp Isn't route 60 called the Gauntlet? I think so. I've been on it a couple times if so. Really good ride that i remember. The roads have been resurfaced.

Someone another board posted a loop route (GPX file) that followed GA 60 and some other roads in the area. He named the file The Gaulet. Don't know if that was a typo or on purpose.
The roads are in good shape and not much traffic today.

We headed back home today. It was a short trip, first because we have not been on a multi-day trip since mid July and second because we have a longer multi-day trip planned in the near future. I had planned to just reverse the route from home to Blue Ridge but, because of the rain, we took a more direct route basically following US 76 East. As I said it started raining on us about half way through the trip so the videos have some "raindrops". https://rumble.com/vmlqar-us-76-ga-east.htmlEdited to correct a typo.

Hate to hear that you got caught by the rain. I've been enjoying following along...
Lot's of good riding in north GA. If going west from the area you were in, hwy 136 is a fun way to end up in Trenton.

Thanks. Will keep that in mind for the next trip. Wife says we will be going back next year to pick some apples with one of her friends in the area.

One more thing. The camera I use is mounted as shown below. Its a Contour HD. This version (I have two) just needs to have the slide switch on the top moved forward to start recording. I can record when I like and turn it off when I like. The second image is the preferred mounting place because it has less vibration. The third link is a video take climbing Beartooth with the camera mounted under the nose of the bike. Anyway, I like the videos because with this arrangement it is as if you are suspended in the air and flowing along. All you have is the stuff around you. No distractions. Its what I like about riding the bike. With the face shield up, you are just out there in the environment. It is like you are part of it. No isolation (ie like the car or truck ). https://youtu.be/J3b6yc9akrs
