Whether or not you’re a fan of The Blaze if you know someone using or has used Chantix pass it it along.

I used this stuff years ago and it was no help. I was nauseous on a daily basis and had dreams like none other…ever. It may have helped others but no success here.

Mainstream version of the report:

https://www.reuters.com/business/healthcare-pharmaceuticals/pfizer-recalls-all-lots-anti-smoking-drug-over-carcinogen-presence-2021-09-16/

Luckily, there are generic versions of Chantix now available. Like all medications it doesn't work for everyone, but if it weren't for Chantix I'd likely still be a cigarette smoker...

Chantix worked miracles for me 14 years ago...

I can’t remember anything like that, all I remember is the constant feeling of wanting to…get sick…waves and waves and waves of nausea. The dreams were bat crap crazy. I don’t remember how long I took it for, but I think I finished, it was about 10 years ago

i have weird dreams without chantix. one night i dreamt i was being chased threw a warehouse by hundreds of pugs. only thing is these pugs had the face of Danny Devito. just the other night i dreamt i was trying to take a nap in a coffin and everybody kept trying to close the lid. chantix made me into a raving lunatic. i was angry all the time. i would go from calm to really pissed in 0.1 seconds. they put me on another drug to try and get me to quit smoking and all it done was made me feel like i was taking a trip and never leaving the farm. on a constant high.

I had the funky dreams with Chantix, some REALLY wild ones, but the only time I got nauseous while taking it was after the first week when I went to the full power doses and tried to have a cigarette...

IMHO that's partially how it works. Last cigarette I had was 3 days into the full dose regimen, had half of it, puked my guts out and threw the rest of my smokes away.

And it definitely worked well (For me!) a month after quitting I was working on an oil rig off the coast of Africa, needed a place to stage the servers I was working on; they put me in the smoker's lounge.

...and I didn't have or even want one.

(To each their own and all that, I get that too!)

You might be on to something with the nausea. I can remember many times waking up after a long night out and not wanting anything to with smoking which would last a good part of the day. Just the thought of a smoke would turn my stomach.

It only made me nauseous when I didn't take it with meals (which it says to do).

It made me slow and sluggish (it was designed an anti-depressant).

Quitting a great habit is certainly depressing.

I had some goofier than normal dreams, no bad ones.

I never saw any little green men in the corners of the room, and I was looking.

It didn't quit for me, and I continued to cut down for the whole month plus I took it.

It was a lousy buzz, but it helped some.

So now it's linked to cancer.  What isn't?
