WOW, I just replaced mine for $55.00 at the local Bumper to Bumper auto parts store.
At $269.00, I could almost buy a new one every year for 5 years and be money ahead.

Sure. If you like carrying 5 pounds more than the Lithium and putting it on a trickle charger every down season. On the last bike I had, I abused the Lead-acid battery (running it flat, not trickle charging, etc) and it always failed me when I wanted to start riding. Put the Li battery on, treated it the same way and even when it got close to flat I could leave the ignition on for a few minutes and it would warm the battery enough to "recover" and it would start.
I'm willing to spend a little money to not have to deal with some of those issues.
To each their own tho. You do you.
