Don’t go to fast food joints. Too expensive for fake food. I like mom and pop type places and just don’t look at prices. I just pay, leave a good tip and call it good.
Ditto, Chris. The only exception for me is that maybe once every 3 months or so I get a hankerin' for a Micky D's Sausage, egg, & cheese biscuit for breakfast.

Yep, I agree. We go out because we want to. The prices are up and there is a to of problems getting help. Maybe a stop in biden welfare will start to help bring things back .

In Florida we have been out a few times because we haven't shopped until today. It seems the prices are up from last year, but, not too much.

Today breakfast at one of our favorite family owned places was $16.00, out the door $20.00. I'm fine with that.

20 each or 20 for both?  20 each is a tad pricey for sure but guessing you meant 20 for two people.

shoot today had culvers family restaurant (upper class fast food joint) had KIDS MEAL  cheeseburger small fries small pop and pushing 7 bucks each.  I get kids meal UNDER AGE 12 so I can get a FREE ice cream cone flavor of the day   LOL   Grin    caramel drizzle vanilla ice cream with cheesecake pieces in it  yummy yummy    do not get a HUGE amount of food or ice cream but is enough do not need to stuff myself right?

Yep, 2 of us.

We don't have Culver's in NYS, but, there is one near us in Florida. It is good for a fast food chain.

McRib IS back so I went to Micky Ds tonight. And the whole shootin match here Is ala carte. A single McRib the told me was $4.70 0r so and two sandwhiches were $5.39 so I opted fer 2 plus a "medium" soft drink-$1.00 and medium fries $2.39 and total with extra ripoff-a k a taxes-$9.43 out the door. NOT a complaint here But I duz like the McRib!  cooldude Oh and the ketchup dispensers had no ketchup!  Lips Sealed Other than the ketchup those danged McRibs were good And they took the wrinkles outa my belly!  2funny RIDE SAFE.

never been a fan of the mcrib, only had a couple of times and do not really know what the MAIN ingredient is in that rib, do you?    Now if trying to save money,  pretty sure still around get the LARGE soft drink  at Mcd's,  all sizes 1 buck is all so always get the bigger size - LOL

I do miss at Mcd's use to always get well over 1 year ago,   1 or 2 chicken wraps in flour tortilla shell basically 1 breaded chicken strip in tortilla wrap with lettuce, sauce of your choosing, and cheese were 1.69 each, wonder what they are now in price, over 2 bucks?, if still around?  Have not been to a fast food restaurant besides Culvers in a few years.

Just heard on the TV thru November 14th if order online and car side pickup only at Dominoes pizza all pizzas are 49% off menu price ONLY from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. though.  Basically half off about for next 2 weeks and a 5 vs. 10 dollar pizza is not a bad deal and somewhat decent pizza.

maybe we need a new thread much like the 'deals on used Valks for sale links' on savings to be had on eating out.  LOL       I only go to Culvers to get the kids meal now near 8.50 (was 3.99 years ago) basically small burger, small fries, small drink, to get the 1.50 flavor of the day custard ice cream for free....   Is enough to feed a cavity in my belly at least.

Use to be a year or more ago before Covid,  all fast food restaurants had meal deals all 5 bucks each.  I think those days are LONG gone especially now that a lot of fast food places are hiring workers for 15 bucks per hour.

There are so many joints here on the west coast of Florida that run specials on certain days of the week, that makes it easy to figure out where to go.
All have drink and food specials, one will be $1 tacos, another pizza, 2 for 1, etc.

I come here for the weather and fresh fish. The cost of both has gone up a bit.

There are more clubs [ VFW, Legion, Elks, Eagles, etc] here than up north and they have great on the water locations. The drinks, food and music is good. Well, the drinks and food are good.

Had some really good tacos last night, lots of beer. I think it may be cheaper than eating at home.

Lost Wages and Reno Nv. I Always liked stopping there even if only playing the penny slots. Food then was almost being given away. They'd bring you an alcoholic beverage BUT the Waitress EXPECTED a tip-no charge fer the drink 70s 80s But that been a year or three back!  2funny RIDE SAFE.

In Vegas (30 years ago) if you were gambling, you were drinking free.

Really subtle sales technique.

Now I wonder if they give out joints of killer ganja.   Grin

My favorite pastime was trying to distinguish the customers from the professional girls.  It was not the 1000 grandmas sitting at the slots with buckets of tokens/quarters.  At least I don't think they were pros.

The other funny thing, they hide the (exit/entrance) doors.... excuse me, how do I get out of here?

I went once.  That was enough.

I can enjoy a friendly poker game for low stakes.  Until somebody starts a game with 17 wild cards.
Deuces and jacks and the man with the axe, and a pair of natural 7's wins.  WTF?

I shopped at my local WalMart yesterday.

A few gaps on the shelves but the groceries I buy on a regular basis had all ticked up in price.

We were always told that the first thing you do when you get there is fill up your car.  That way, no matter what happened, you can get home.

drove up north 3.5 hours to visit my kids this weekend.  both EAT OUT WAY WAY WAY too much.  Daughter splurged spent 15 bucks on her coffee cream iced peppermint latte LARGE drink and I got small hot chocolate and wife small tea drink with 6 donuts at dunkin donuts.  GEE whiz,  go to any grocery store and get a dozen donuts of equal or better flavor for under 10 bucks easily vs. just 6 donuts.    I bet her latte iced drink which sounds like she gets NEAR DAILY was near 4 bucks alone.  I did not say much since she is very upset over her excess weight gain recently past 1 year or so, but the way her and her fiancee eat and drink out weekly no wonder why she gained over 30 lbs..

My other kid up there suggested we go out to eat sushi thinking I would like it since he does and never had it before nor do I think I would like it either.    He said is ONLY 20 bucks all you can eat at this one place up there.  Well,  20 bucks x 4 of us is 80 bucks not made of money - gee whiz!!!!  I passed on that idea for sure.    It cost me 65 bucks in gas alone with my truck to drive up there and back near 400 miles total.
