For those on Medi-Care, expect the worse and maybe, just maybe you'll be ahead at the end of the month.

Let me state it thusly. Without my V A benefits No Way No How could I afford my meds or my O2 needs or the CPAP. I recently stated I had double cataract surgery to the tune of near 35G billed. V A and socilaized medicine picked up the tab-I had NO/NONE/NADA/ZERO copay on the eye surgery. Thinkin as of this moment Today 5.9% Not Even gonna come near coverin INFLATION!  uglystupid2 AND I Already KNOW Who to blame fer the Rapid Rise in said INFLATION!  Roll Eyes Makes one wonder how LARGE the Politicians raises WILL BE!  Lips Sealed Pretty danged SURE be a Lot MORE than 5.9%!  Undecided RIDE SAFE.

Social Security and Medical-care are about to be tapped once again. But thats not being talked about on MSM. If these pass most folks will be surprised.

It appears both will be broke within 20 yrs.

That will make a nice triple digit bump for me but can't help but wonder how much of it will be taken by a montly Medicare increase. I also get an automatice 3% bump every July 31 on my State of Fla. pension. Only problem with that is the supplemental insurance cost usually goes up as well so the net is nowhere near 3%. But...I'll take it and giggle all the way to the bank. I'm comfortable!  Wink

Well, the way things inside the Beltway are going I don't trust banks anymore. I'm thinking accounts could be seized/locked in the near future. In 2023 just buy something more than $600 and try to explain that to the Feds satisfaction.

The 2022 federal retiree cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) will be 5.9 percent for those under the Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS) and 4.9 percent for those under the Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS).

VA comp will get the same raise if it goes through for the SS. It always has even if it is a small %.
