It's not one-and-done. After all, the adjusters are just screws with springs under them, and subject to move.
I bought and used my digiSync last July, and all was very smooth. Last week, I felt the engine was no longer quite as smooth. I hooked the digi back up, and there were some small difference, e.g.: #3 was at 195, and the others were a couple points higher or lower, as in #1 was at 197, #6 at 193. I don't know what those points represent, but apparently 1% is enough to feel, but very subtle. Set them back to toggle within 1 point, and it's better now.

EDIT: I looked it up in the FAQ, and found this: "Each digit represents 0.113 inHg." That's 1/25 of an atmosphere.

Prior to adjustment, I lube all the pivot points. Seems to help hold the settings.

Yes, it does make a difference; I always keep my linkages lubed with long-lasting lubricant.

Note that a difference of 2 is only about 1/4" of vacuum difference, which is way better that most dial gauges can achieve, but I could still sense the offset. I really love this tool!
