A outstanding weekend with friends and we had the honor of taking T-Bird for a ride across some of his favorite roads and spreading his ashes. A bonus on that is that Troutdude ( Dennis ) has T-Bird's motorcycle now and spread some of his ashes from that bike.

First stop was Bald River Falls on the way to Robbinsville I've been here many times with T-Bird over the years. We gave him a good view.

Next stop was the highest point on The Cherohala Skyline . Terry would ride this road hammer down with his feet on the highway pegs ( He was one of the best riders I've ever shared the wind with ) .

In Robbinsville NC at ground zero. Gina T-Bird's wife gave me his vest and hat when we picked up his ashes a few weeks ago. Reb made the cross to hang it on and Barbie gave me the picture plaque.

T-Bird would call our bikes " The Sisters "  it was only appropriate that those two motorcycle's spread his ashes.

A special Thanks to The Don and Barbie for the totally unexpected retirement surprise with Wisconsin deer sausage and cheese with a retirement cake. If you follow me on Facebook you know about me and my " Life On The Back Porch " . Barbie drew this for me it will be hanging on my back porch.

Valkyrie brotherhood and sisterhood at its best. I didn't know the man, but it's obvious he was held in high regard by those of you that did...nice post, a fitting tribute.
Also, very cool drawing...congrats on the retirement cooldude After 36 years with the same company, I'll be adding that title to my name this December as well. Enjoy!!

Joe,

A great weekend for sure! I agree completely that our friend T-Bird would have heartily approved of all that occurred! Lots of things contributed by lots of folks, and Barb & Don went way beyond anything I'd expected! Dennis, Preston, Gig & Lulu, Gina, and so many others also joined in. Nothing comes close, however, to the extra effort by you and all the 'little' things you do, unknown to most of us, to make this gathering into one of the best anywhere... You are deeply appreciated, my good friend, and I join all the others in wishing you a grand and most fulfilling retirement!!! Looking forward to sharing more wind with you!

Whatever it is, it's better in the wind.

On a road less traveled.
