Today, continued west to Muscle Shoals to visit the Fame Recording Studio.  We had already seen the Muscle Shoals Studio last year.  That tour was better.  While today's tour was giving my the great grandson of the founder of Fame, he was not as good as the gentlemen that did the Muscle Shoals tour.  He knew stuff, made it seem real and personal.

We did speak with the widow of the owner/founder of Fame on the way out.  She was very nice to talk with, had lots of information and we had things in common.  I guess she was our age.

Don't forget the videos are recored in 1080p but Rumble defaults to 480p.  You have to manually change the resolution.

Today we took a short ride up the Natchez Trace to Nashville and then headed East a little.  I find the Natchez Trace in Tennessee to be the most scenic part of the Trace.  I have traveled it from TN to almost the very end.

We did stope and the "Sunken Trace" stop over and also a little picnic area.  Here are a couple of pictures and then videos of Today's ride.

Looks like  you've been doing some good riding. I like that trailer...perfect match looks-wise for the Wing. What make is it?

Wish I had known you were coming to muscle shoals. I live about 45 minutes from there.

My first ride on the Natchez Trace, October 2-3, 2004.  Just a couple of photos from, what I believe, is near the 50 mile post where you can really see what the Trace looked like.

Today we headed north from Lebanon, TN to Frankfort, KY.  Some nice rural roads and some rural roads that were just ok.

The frist video shows the "flags" and "signs" we routinely see throughout the rural south.

Now, our tour of rural Kentucky.

Today, it was cloudy/overcast and cool. Started out the ride at 54 degrees and ended up at 57 degrees F.

We rode KY 22 north and east from Frankfort, KY (well 10 miles of interested first) and then to KY 10, back south to Morehead, KY.

KY 22 is a very nice, quality roadway.  Lots of rural Kentucky along the way and some very nice curves and hills and wooded areas.  Excellent road.  Here are some videos of today's ride.

Yesterday's ride:   We rode from Morehead, KY to Abingdon, VA.  The route was not as planned since it included some more "rural" roads then planned. However, all the roadways were firm, no issues and the scenery was great.  Just not many/much fall colors.  We were only at 2,000 set but it was north eastern Kentucky.

Made a little detour on my way to Morgantown WV Inzane in 2016 and spent  a day riding in KY taking in the sights in between visiting some points of interest. Wished I would have had more time. Spectacular scenery, roads, history, people. I remember it being such a pleasure to hit KY after a couple days riding across the plains. Looking forward to one day getting back down to that area,  with more time to explore. Thx for posting these videios cooldude

msb - you are welcome.

Got back home today. 1,555 miles on the odometer.  Only five states.  Weather was pretty good except for one short rainy period and two "cool" days.  But heated jacket liners work  cooldude

Here is todays ride videos.

Summary:  the rural roads in Kentucky (well the ones we were on) are really very fun roads.  Great scenery, nice road surfaces and just visually very nice.   The only issue is some of these roads are a little narrow and don't have much in the way of "edges".  Meaning there is no room for error.
