I recently pulled my carbs and ultrasonically cleaned them and was amazed how much crud came out of them . Upon reassembly, I bench synced them using the D-Ray method. He says in his video that this method works so well he doesn’t even use gages anymore. That was not my experience. While the bike seemed to run OK, it still had some unevenness, RPMs were slow to come down and would jump around. Fiddled around with adjustments and just couldn’t get it right. Finally broke down and bought the Digisync and that’s the best money I’ve spent recently. Took about 30 minutes and was very easy. The digital display showed initial numbers all over the map. Some were out 12-15. Got everything dialed in and went for a ride. WOW…what a difference. Super easy to start, purrs like a kitten, smooth power….I was rolling down the road smiling like a fool. What a great tool.

Did you get the unit from Bon S? If not, could you post where you ordered it from. Thanks.

I got it from the Digi Sync website. It’s their newest version. Very impressed with the quality of the unit and everything that came with it. Top shelf product designed and manufactured in the US. https://thedigisync.com/

Hmm...$215, that kinda bites in the butt. I've recently used dial gauges with snubbers in the lines to stabilize the guages...they didn't bounce all over. Later checked them with a borrowed Digisync and was pretty close...no more than a 2-3 point difference from readings I got with the dials. Granted, I got them much closer with the DS but couldn't really tell much of a difference after using it. Christmas is coming so if any of you rich riders are feeling really magnanimous, I have no problem sharing my mailing address.

Am I right to assume we don’t need to order those 5/6mm vacuum nipple things?

I recently ran my digisync and was to see all my readings within 1-2 of each other. I was kind of disappointed that I couldn’t fix anything. Recent desmog, plugs, cleaning, but no carb work. Great tool. Well made and easy to use.

Hoses, both sizes of adapters that you won’t need, very nice vacuum caps and storage tub. Even came with a battery. I ordered only the unit and was surprised when everything showed up.

Hey Ron in Buffalo, maybe this spring you could sync my carbs? Mine still has the OEM pilot screws. I can help you offset the cost of your new Digi Sync.

I am also impressed with the digi-Sync. Mine is the original version that I sent back to Bon to have the software updated. Not as pretty as the latest but works just as good.

I'm with you John, made my own for around 40 bucks in materials including gauges, works great. I use adjustable aquarium air valves to smooth out the needles, dials them in nicely.
