Yeah, we've been repo'd.
English Pete rides, as does this other import, a  rockabilly named Matt. I figure they are sufficiently suspicious of Parliament to represent Texas.    Smiley

Grow wheat, avoid high British taxes and English pop music.

Of course we may opt out.  There's a secessionist movement that wants all the original territory of the Republic restored. I rather like that.

Us Kansans would formally request to become "Texas Light" and become a subsidiary of the Republic of Texas, since it's" like a whole different country" and it's way cooler in Texas, with Luckenbach and Willie Nelson and all that stuff, and the Queen don't want us anyway.  cooldude  coolsmiley Hoser

This appears to be an unprecedented, presumptuous, and irresponsible land grab attempt by a once great but fading national entity.  Nothing of the continental United States of America west of the Mississippi River was ever acknowledged as belonging to the empire of Great Britain and thus had no status with that fading monarchy to be revoked.

Fancy it or not, Queen E. cannot assume possession the sovereign states of Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas nor a host of other modern day elements of the former French and Spanish empires without prevailing in a significant martial conflict.

Please inform her most royal majesty that it will not be a grouse shoot.

Incidentally, superfluous letters smack more of pomposity than of increased linguistic correctness.

Kansas was excluded from 'revocation' because her majesty knows....got a shotgun rifle and a 4-wheel drive
And a country boy can survive
Country folks can survive

I can plow a field all day long
I can catch catfish from dusk till dawn
We make our own whiskey and our own smoke too
Ain’t too many things these ole boys can’t do
We grow good ole tomatoes and homemade wine
And a country boy can survive
Country folks can survive  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
