Ok, a customer of mine has these three chairs made out of cherry trees. They cost mega thousands. The finish was nasty in several spots. They asked me if I could refresh it some. Holy crap. So I ordered countertop epoxy and went to work. The results were stunning

This is one chair

The other two chairs were similar but they had these wide arms that are like a small table top. I think a cat got to them

After sanding and staining to match the rest of the chair this is how it came out.

This is the set of three chairs

Not for long sitting!

I’m in the process of making seat decks and then they will have pads made to fit. They will be very comfortable actually when it’s all said and done

Well the reason for the sprucing up is to ready them for sale. Just saying. I have no idea what they will want but if it’s thousands and thousands they will sit on them (pun intended) for a long while and then they will have to come down if they want to get rid of them

my limited experience buying furniture used is does not go for much people who think 1000's are more likely to get 100's...

We just bought for my kid buying a house a nice set of high table top with 4 chairs that slide underneath asking 125 bucks got them for 100 bucks.  Am sure cost 250-300 new total only 6 years old not much use few top minor scratches is all.  Owner did not know how to screw in with allen wrench and phillips screwdriver the supports of legs and 4 chairs had to tighten them all up since were wobbly when I sat on the chairs pointing that out to the owner to get my price down to 100 bucks.
