After the torrential rains of last weekend (Nov fall rains in 3 days), we've gotten flooding from WA State into the old Sumas Lake flat lands, that was drained about 100 years ago.
https://vancouver.citynews.ca/2021/11/19/abbotsford-flood/Then all BC routes to the Lower Mainland had slides and flooding on them.
Large sections of the Coquihalla Hwy have been washed away.
https://vancouver.citynews.ca/2021/11/18/repairs-coquihalla-hope-merritt/msb was trapped at his home for a while, till slides could be cleared allowing alternating traffic along Hwy 7.
Isn't it so ironic that CFB Chilliwack Engineers was closed down, and they had to be transported in from Edmonton? Nothing in/West of the Rockies.
(more news than sites in the above links. This one shows only a small portion of the flooding.)
