Yes, very sad.

Word is he may have lived had the bike not exploded in a ball of fire.

Second word is the bike had been recalled for a fix about tank mounts causing a massive tank rupture in accidents, but it had not been in for the service yet.

Y'all be careful out there.

You're correct.  Here is a link to the Harley recall info.

Sad, I lost a friend in VA back in 06, Charlie, Sheriff Portsmouth VA. also was our salesman at the firm i worked for, it was one of the largest motorcycle funerals i ever seen, hell even some Renegades showed up to show respect. http://www.odmp.org/officer/18380-deputy-sheriff-charles-aubrey-fisher He was riding a police HD Ultra Classic, lost control, i wish as a Taxpayer they would give these men a safer bike, Like Newport News VA, they ride BMW's with real anti lock brakes , one would think a pursuit bike would need to be more performance like.
