80 years now have passed and our collective memories and lessons learned are fading with passing generations.
History is a hard teacher and we haven't learned from it very well here in America.
The threats from within and beyond our borders are as real today as they were in 1941 and earlier.  Tyranny exists.

I've always adhered to "Speak Softly and carry a big stick" philosophy.
But added "Draw a line in the sand and be prepared to enforce it".   There's a time and a place to get tough.   Past generations knew that.   Not so much anymore.   Some lessons seem to be only learned the hard way.
