My wife and I listen to various types of music and groups on Pandora and on Youtube.  Youtube is nice because you get to see the preformers.

So, just in case you are interested here are some of the music videos we watch/listen to at Christmas.

And a group we just found on Youtube.

And of course there are many other songs by these and similar groups.

Love hearing the Pentatonix, reminds me of my high school days in the choir. We had some small groups within the choir and I took part in three. One was acapella, one was mixed, and one was a male quartet. I enjoyed the acapella group the most because we were allowed to improvise...within certain limits of course. At the time with some training I had developed a three octave range(long gone now) which allowed us to have some fun with the audience. Near the end of a song we would hold a long rather high note that sounded like one person. One by one we would quit singing but the note was held, people didn't know which one was still singing because we all had our mouths still open. The note would go on for well over a minute and you could hear people in the audience start to gasp...still not knowing who was still singing. Was kinda fun!

At 61, I'm still at 2.5 - 3 full octaves range as a low tenor (I can cover from Josh Turner to Josh Groban / Art Garfunkel). Can't quite make Freddy Mercury / Roger  of Queen - they are just TOO high for me.

I loved HS choir.  Concert, madrigal and men's.  Baritone or 2d tenor.  No 1st tenor without falsetto.

We sang every year in state competitions.

Our traditional Christmas concerts drew a big crowd every year, and all our choir alum would come up on stage for our finale Handle's Messiah.

No voice left but E minor Frogy.

This song is very "inspiring" and provides, oh don't know, understanding, feeling, hope.

 Mary's Boy Child

And this one always sends chills up my spine/body.  Its not exactly related to Christmas but......   Provides guidance and insight and for those of us who believe, truth and hope....
