Hello all. I am new to the forum and I am looking at picking up a Interstate. My one complaint is that the factory stereo is so outdated and I don't even like the looks of the big hang on module with the switches. I have searched thru this forum and with the exception of a bag mount car stereo, I haven't seen any options. Anyone had any ideas or seen anything that will do the job. I have no problem replacing the factory display and have no use for CB.

Thanks, Rick

I think the oem is the best option. You could get a sierra electronics that mount in the saddle bag but you still have controls mounted on the bars. Not sure if you could put in a regular car stereio or not like you can on a HD.

Thanks Fudgie, I guess my biggest gripe IS the handlebar controls, so big and and look like a total after thought.

Not sure, but maybe they can be converted and use the HD controls, that look nicer.

You could get a Tourer or Standard and put a HD fairing on it.  Then you can put whatever radio you wanted to in it.

I agree with JoeValk.  If you want to change the setup, probably better and cheaper to take a tourer, add a fairing, and do what you want.  Probably cheaper and better.
