The only trailer I might possibly have will be behind me, not under.  Wink  I'll be solo so probably no need for a trailer since I'll have the back seat for the kitchen sink.  Grin

My Buddy, Curt and I are planning to ride out, most likely around the first week of May, and hitting Wheels Through Time and the Barber Museum on the way out.  All back roads; no interstates.  Then, we'll stop in Cripple Creek for a few weeks and on to Billings for InZane.  If anyone wants to make an extended trip, they're welcome to join us!

Nick, not sure yet, a couple of us here have discussed. Bill wants to go but I'm thinking it's just too much for him. He wants to rent a motorhome and pull a trailer. I can't see that honestly but will see if he is serious as it gets closer. Jeff isn't going and my cuz John says he most likely will not. So if solo, I would ride out if it works out. I know Jeff = Flsix is considering going as well. Not being retired yet but could get 2 weeks off. I'd like 3 but don't think I could get it.  coolsmiley

I know I have not been too reliable lately but I can tell you I would like to go. Depends on the work load I would leave Lesa with however.

Funny how that works.  I have every intention of going, but it looks like my wife will need surgery to repair rotator cuff tears in both shoulders.  I don't know if she will be self sufficient by then.

Talked with Lesa today. She said go for it.

For those who may not know.....(John).....we have 4 dogs, about 12 or so squirrel babies we are raising for release and one mouse! We raised her from about the size of a thimble as well.
We would only trust another rehabber to feed the squirrel babies as they can die pretty easily if not fed correctly when little. Since all the rehabbers have their own "kids" to feed that will not work.
As these little cuties grow and get released we will not accept many between now and that time but Lesa is not sure she can do distances like that on a bike at the pace we may be riding.
Plus, in the current group of "kids" it looks like we have a non-releasable little gal. She may be with us for the duration.

She said...."Take lots of pictures" to which I replied "It's not the same"

Wow...quite a family indeed. Good for you guys for stepping up to help the helpless. And I know what you mean when you said "it's not the same" when traveling alone and leaving your life's partner behind. I went to the first Inzane in Frisco, CO and didn't stay. I was alone in an area Rita and I had traveled together, both on our Wing and by car. Just didn't seem right somehow, I was out enjoying myself and she wasn't able to join me. I headed home after 48 hours.

Still leaning towards going though. Not getting any younger sitting around waiting on a perfect scenario to do it.

Well time waits for no one sadly, so I hope to see many of the FL group joining in. I have been out west many times, but never to Big Sky Montana.

Definitely need a min of 2 weeks for this one, and will try to stay off as many Super Slabs as possible. Probably take the FJR for the range and creature comforts, but that may change as I am pretty comfy on my Valk as well.

"Beulah the buzzer" says nothing but a Valk will do, Bronxasaurus.  Plus the extra range will not do you a bit of good anyway if you are riding with Valks and 135 mile range in the standard tank.  So there.

I wouldn't want Beth on my bad side. See the season finale Sunday? That show only gets better.
If you enjoy Bourbon, no regrets.

Season finale was great, awesome series. So, have had the Yellowstone Bourbon?
My go to is always Woodford Reserve or Makers Mark. Both go really well with a good Cigar.

Love a good bourbon as well and have many good ones in the bar but for the past few years my go to for sipping has been a rum!
Plantation rum. Super smooth over a few cubes of ice.
Lately I have been playing with and perfecting a good Old Fashioned as well. Those things are just plain nice to drink!

I caught your conversation at the picnic in Salt Springs so I decided to try it out. Kind of an enjoyable natural pain reliever for the golfers elbow that I'm working through  Evil

Hey John, wouldn't take much for me to grab the Badger across from Ludington to Manitowoc for IZ if you want a wingman so let's see how the spring shapes up. I would be on Ezmerelda (standard), got Fred (I/S) down here in FL with me now  Grin

MIne is a standard as well. I just add bags and go.

Glad you like the rum! I absolutely love it. Not for mixing in anything but for sipping it is the bomb.

That might work out, you could make it a one day trip to my place and crash that night then we could head out the next morning. It's less than 50 miles from Manitowoc to my place and it's easy access. Let's see how things pan out in 3-4 months, I have some stuff I want to do on the trike...precautionary. Too cold to do it now in an unheated garage.  Wink

OK, reservations are open for Billings, need to get a serious head count as who is going west with us. So far it looks like Keith, Me, My Buddy Big Mike from Bryson City is a maybe, Pappy, Jeff.

6 would be awesome for room sharing, we are planning on taking 4 days out & the same coming home. Probably won't do the Sunday Earlybird and get there for Monday.

If u are a definite, chime in here, and lets all get registered and booked ASAP.  Cool

cooldude Nick I"m in as you know. I know we talked about taking 4 days to get there. I'm good w/ that as it is just over 1,800 miles to Billings from Milton. So if you leave Thursday June 9 and make it to Milton I've got a room for you and 2 others. Then we could leave out early Friday 10th for the ride to InZane. Arrive Monday 13th. Then leaving InZane on Thursday 16th. So before I register with InZane I want to be sure we agree on a Monday arrival and Thursday departure. Then we can head wherever we want to go. WY, ND, SD, CO. My target is to be home on Sunday 26th or by Monday 27th.  Just tossing those days out there to start with. Let's see what we end up with. Thx, Keith  coolsmiley

Okay.....Lesa is urging me to go.
One final talk maybe today to make sure.
If I do go I wouldn't mind a bit slower pace on the way home. Nicer roads or a different way. We don't get many chances to do a ride like this,
