Temps are expected to reach 80˚F tomorrow (New Year's Day) and I plan to bring in the New Year with a Hill Country ride.  No destination...just ride.

Here's a pic from this year's Boxing Day Ride this past Sunday...

So...who's riding New Year's Day?

Should be beautiful in hill country Charlie, enjoy the ride. I forgot, it’s always beautiful in hill country.

If you are riding  and it is a must that you keep your eyes on the road, you are riding too fast.

Hey Eli!  Yep, it was a beautiful day in the Hill Country!  Rode for a couple of hours, very little traffic and the temperature was about perfect.  I cruised through some familiar places like Wimberley, Fischer, Twin Sisters, Blanco and beyond.  Stopped a couple of times for a picture or two as well...

Let's have a Happy New Year y'all!

Happy New Year, everyone!

I managed a short 30-miler to meet a couple of buddies for Mexican food lunch (no black-eyed peas, but I did have tamales).

When I left, it was a balmy 67 degrees.  Long-sleeve t-shirt under my jacket and summer gloves.  We sat outside at the restaurant and opened the canvas walls to break the stuffiness and get some breeze.  Before we finished eating, the cold front blew through and, we had to lower the canvas and zip the walls closed.  The ride home (with jacket liner and winter gloves) was very windy.  It was 47 when I got home, and we hit the upper teens overnight.

Checked my odometer before I left to see how many miles I rode in 2021.  NOT ENOUGH!
