Several car auctions hit Scottsdale this time of year. This is going on the block Friday with no reserve at the Russo & Steele auction. It's got a V12 Detroit with 2 blowers. Torque: maybe 3000 ft/lbs.

http://www.russoandsteele.com/collector_car/2009_special_construction_blastolene_custom_truck__/42-6403.html

...the 12V71 comes stock with 2 blowers on it, it is a one piece block and a single crank (16V is 2-8 cylinder blocks end to end).. these were a good engine in their day.. the 2-cycle Detroit series numbers were the displacement per cylinder (53, 71, 92, 110, 149) and came in multiple cylinder options.  71's were available in 1 to 16 cylinder models and offered a model that had 4- 6's driving into one box with a single output.

I forgot to include the website. www.blastolene.com  I'll bet it goes for a lot more than $125K.

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.
