I just upgraded my iPhone. With that comes 3 months free Apple TV. Out of boredom I tried it out.  I found this show. Long way up, fascinating. Two guys on electric Harleys. With camera crew on gas bike and electric suv. Made here in Michigan. They are going from southern point South America to California.  I haven’t finished all of it yet. But very cool.

Yes, that is the 3rd in the series.  Find the other two if you like the series: “Long Way Round” and “Long Way Down”.  Personally, I think the Long Way Round was the best by far, just kind of goes through the struggles of trying to get a major travel trip underway with an entourage of a support team. Netflix carried those series for a while, or your local library can probably find it for you too.

The first two in the series have books with the same name and I believe The Long Way Up book release will be summer 2022.  There are quite a few of this type of series on YouTube or other.  If you want to read one of the original (and probably best) books on motorcycle travel find “Jupiter’s Travels”, by Ted Simon.  A writer that writes about a motorcycle trip instead of a motorcyclist that is just an ok writer.  A big difference in writing and observing ability.

I have watched both the Long Way Around and Long Way Dowm. I totally agree Long Way Around was by far the better of the two. I will have to check out the The Long Way Up!
