One year ago today our dear friend, BigBF, was taken from us.  He was killed by the virus that China unleashed on the world.

Bill we love you and miss you.  Cry

Such a loss to our community.  The Valkyrie Whisperer.

Big ol' bear, gentle dude with a heart of gold.  Anyone who ever looked into Bill's eyes saw his good heart shining through.  Saved me a couple times on issues way beyond my skill level.  Worked for two days straight on Ruby while gasping for breath in the high altitude and wildfire smoke.  I wish I could have commissioned him for another day or two, but I know he wanted to get back to jobs at lower elevations so I cut him loose.

He's missed so much already, and part of the reason I'm starting to think fuel injected like Serk has done...

Indeed. His loss was one of many parts of the equation that led me down that path...  Cry

Three good people right there. cooldude  I also miss Big BF, when Bill visited us in Florida to work on my bike, he introduced me to his dog. From that moment on, every time I sat down in the shop his pooch was right next to me and would lay his head on my lap. When Bill got ready to leave, he called his dog over to get in the truck. The dog came running, stopped and looked at me so I gave it one last scratch behind the ears before it jumped into the truck.  Smiley

I typically work on my own bikes but hearing Bill was going to be in the "neighborhood" I set a time for him to do my final drive service.  I like watching folks that are experts in their field, and BF was an expert.  And sure enough, we both laughed when he found an extra oring not where it should be.  Smiley

Bill was a great fellow and also pretty funny as well as one of the most talented Valkyrie
mechanics

Damn the people who brought this pestilence upon our family

I never met the gentleman but have heard so many good things about the man, wish I could have.

Hopefully, the author's of this virus will pay dearly in the end for the pain and suffering they have caused good people like this.

Connie, if I were you I'd delete all instances of that pic on the board.  I'm not superstitious but then again I have a tendency to be superstitious.   Undecided

I don’t have any Bigbf stories. He was scheduled to come to my house on his last trip through Kentucky. I think he had a cancellation or two and wound up calling on a Sunday morning that he was on his way to my house. Well, I was at church, phone in the car and by the time I got the message and returned same but he had just kept motoring on by my exit when he didn’t hear from me. He planned to catch me on the return leg but he never made it. My loss for sure, and the years just keep on rolling by.
