Is the thing hanging on the chain a running light, or a bug zapper?

And is that a Sportster peanut gas tank?  If so, it must get about 300 feet to the tank (of gas).

Serious answers only.   Grin

Chain tensioner although I can't imagine that chain lasting very long.

I appears if you need to make a sharp turn, you need to swing out from the seat hanging on the the handlebars (in space), or running alongside, if your feet reach.

hard to tell from pic, but it appears to me that lantern type metal contraption is not being hung from the chaing but mounted onto the side of the cycle somehow.  To me looks like an old light/lantern from long ago.  My kids 1880's house has a similar top part for his porch light putting light bulb inside and same type looking only smaller in size.

Is that a steering wheel in the second picture,  toward the back of the bike?

Second picture has a sidecar that looks like it came from and old tractor. That might explain the steering wheel thingy...gives the corider something to do, kinda like little kids in shopping carts.
