I’ve gotten in some miles the last few days and it was energizing. But here in Kentucky we are still not out of the woods yet. Clouds rolled in this afternoon and the temperature has dropped into the nippley range. Only bright spot, if you can call it that, is there is rain in the forecast for this weekend which will keep the bike in the basement and I can get the wheels pulled off for a new set of rubber, maybe an oil and filter change too.

Happy to report I’m wearing away some of the rust that accumulated on my riding skills but it looks like it’s going to take more than a few hundred miles just to get back to my previous skill level which were never up the proficiency that some of you have achieved.

I’m also needing to build up overall physical condition. I’m really noticing the weight of the bike more than I used to. But physical conditioning was something I needed to address anyway.

me too on the weight of the fat ladies.....  few years ago thought nothing of hoping on and flicking it around.  Now,  I have trouble even swinging my leg over, my hips will not bend well at all.

Hip surgeon said I can get both hips replaced in early 50's for age due to bad shape on xrays, but said only if I loose 30lbs. first for 5% risk of bloodclots is too risky if BMI under 40 goes to under 1 percent blood clot risk.

I have not been 30lbs. less in OVER 20+ years, will see?  For now I can walk, although not more than 1-2 miles tops, and not in much pain if taking an easy not standing for more than 30 minutes at a time.

This Saturday HEAT WAVE 62 for high but off and on rain.  AT least all the icy snow mounds should be gone this weekend and hope no more snow although we have had I would say the LEAST amount of snow EVER being around 5 snowfalls total all 3 inches or less.  Never even fired up the snowblower this year so am hoping for a 4-5 inch snowfall to make it worthwhile firing it up to burn the gas outta it been in there since NOvember.

Nippley?   Hmm..........  There's some things I'd rather not know about.  Wink

Glad you're getting those skills sharpened up.   Had I known they were rusty I would have given you some WD40 at the last InZane.   2funny

If it ain’t “nippley” one shouldn’t complain about being cold. Nippley occurs at different temperatures for different people. It’s also possible for some people to be nippley all the time which has its advantages too.

still remember 1990-1995 1st job age 20, Becky co-worker in the office about age 27ish had MAJOR nipplage EVERY single day.  Enough so that I called them cup hooks since could hang a mug from them puppies easy enough sticking out like a sore thumb.   One could not help but stare in AWE and the women older with kids in their 30's were jealous am sure not as well endowed.  Hard not to stare though since she also wore near daily leather mini skirts in the office, attention getter for sure.   Wink

Nine degrees this morning.  Spring is taking it damn sweet time this year. I hope by the time the roads are clean enough for Valkyries (mid-April in NH) there is still gasoline available to run  it.   Cry  Angry

Oh, I'm not complaining, already mowed the yard once, working on getting my tan back now.  Wink

One of my neighbors had his edger out this weekend and used his mower to scatter those clippings but no full scale mowing going on here yet. But the grass is growing again so it won’t be long now, I’ll have to break out the sun screen and my wide brim hat!
