Anyne ever use the silicone type radiator hoses?

While I still have the Wing motor on the work table, I'm thinking it's a good time to replace hoses, especially the lower one. I see Ebay has kits that includes all three and the price isn't that out of sight so thought I'd ask.
Frankly I thought I had posted this question a day or two back but can't find it...so, I probably typed it and then was interrupted so forgot to post.

I don't know about the hose, but you are not loosing it John, I saw the post.
You put it toward the end of this post.

Yeah...finally saw it. The fact I didn't remember where I put it might still leave mental acuity in jeopardy, or at least questionable.

John - I used silicone hoses on my blown Valk. No problems and no more expensive (in the UK) than using stock. Did it for colour (blue) and dress up. With Mikolar stainless hose clamps looks the business.

Thanks Steve, think I'll do the deed...maybe in color also.
I about have the GW motor ready, just waiting on new belts so I can do everything at once on the front of the motor. Re. wiring...did you install any of the sensors, relays, etc., or did you just hook the starter up as usual and go with that? Seems it would back up rather fast but not certain of that.

John - I just hooked up with an extra relay and you're right the back up is fast and violent. But I did'nt hold the starter button down, just fanned it off and on when I needed it. Funny thing, didn't use it very often as I mostly ride duo with my honey (she's Welsh so inherently strong). Main use was backing off loose gravel where getting a foothold is difficult. As I probably said before, I originally fitted the Wing motor cos I lunched the blown Valk, it came with the reverse, so why not. I would fit it minus the Wings electrics and see if it works for you, fiddling with electrics could be next winters project. SteveB
