Anyone got a method for removing stuck pilot jet. I'm working on a mates '98 Euro spec Valk and the jets are stuck in 3 of the bodies. Tried heat (limited), home made penetrant and a long soak in my sonic cleaner. As this is Euro spec the needles have a cross slot drive (not the 'D' drive) and quarters of them snapped as I tried to ease them out. Loathe to try drilling them out as bodies not available and if they were very expensive. SteveB

My go to is MOAR heat Grin  carburetors are made from a zinc alloy with a melting temp of around 550c, a small butane torch where you could localize the heat around the base where jet goes in,  I had a carburetor off of a zrx and could not get one of the main jets out, some A-hole epoxied it in. Thats all I got good luck.

Thanks Luftkoph yep the low melting point frightens me along with the carb bodies not being available. Local precision engineers said they would try but no guarantee if they FUBAR ed them.

If you get them unstuck, use some anti sieze grease when reinstalling the new screws.
