Gilbert Burns vs Khamzat Chimaev: what a fight!

Happened yesterday, the number 2 contender versus the new rising star in the division (ranked 11th).

In one side, Gilbert is a pretty good boxer with power to knockout and an expert in BJJ (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu).

On the other side, the sambo wrestler that is steamrolling the opposition with insane power and stamina (before the fight against Gilbert, he had 4 victories in the UFC having landed 254 strikes and being hit *only* 2 times!).

Khamzat won (29 x 28) but it showed his technical and cardio limitations (I don't think he has what it takes to beat the champion, Kamaru Usman).

It was a good fight.    

The main event bout was tough to watch.  Alexander Volkanovski really handed it to the Korean Zombie, and looked technically pretty much flawless.

@Valkorado: agreed! I think the stoppage by Herb Dean came at right time, the Korean Zombie had no answer to pretty much anything that Volkanovski was throwing at him.
