I noticed that. I also thought I saw the "MADE IN USA" cast into the engine. That'd make it a 99 at the latest.

The saddle on the bike is pre-2000.  The stitching on the back of the pillion was after market.  "Made in USA" disappeared from the back of the pillion in 1999 or 2000.

Made in USA was on thru the first half of the 99 production run.
 As was the logo on the co seat.

Agreed but, to be honest, all I have to do is walk out into my garage to get a warm and fuzzy feeling.   Firing either one up and riding is even better but, I have to say that pulling into any dealership and watching the folks gather around her is the best.  Wink  She's Special.

Edited:  I am curious what that itty bitty windscreen is all about?
I personally don't see it has any value.
