Monday's ride to Dillsboro, NC.  We had an issue with WiFi at the hotel last night so I will have to update the locations and rod names tonight (hopefully).

Edit:  I edited the title to include states being visited.
Edit:  I had to add Illinois since you have to go through part of it to cross the Mississippi at East Cario.

OSS, wish I could make that trip, but we have done it three times and right now is not a good time for us to be away that long.   Maybe some other time.

Todays ride was from Glasgow, KY to Sikeston, MO.   We crossed the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers at East Cario.  The fact that the area is named Cario, has always made me curious.

Anyway Some of the videos.

KY 100 - Nice road

https://rumble.com/v12pezd-west-on-ky-100.html

US 62 West

https://rumble.com/v12pfya-us-62-west-in-kentucky.html

Crossing the Mississippi and Ohio River.  Really rough bridge over the Mississippi at East Cario, IL (at least I think its in Illinois).  Thats sort of the funny thing.  To cross the Mississippi in this area from Kentucky you have to pass through a very small part of Illinois to get to Missouri.

https://rumble.com/v12pedf-crossing-the-ohio-and-mississippi-river.html

And, as usual, the GPS directed us onto a short stretch of a very rural road.   But in Kentucky, the rural roads are generally in good shape.

Cairo (and Memphis) are cities on the Nile.  Not sure if there was a Cape Girardeau Egypt though.

Today's trip was from Sikeston, MO to Harrison, AR.

Only have the one video.  Seems the camera failed to start after this video.  Not sure what happened.  Will have to research.

We did have some rain in the hour or so before we reached Harrison.

Today we did our "day ride".  We spent the night in Harrison, AR and took a day ride today basically on AR 123.  The map is shown below.

First video is the "fun part".  Really tight curves and the Goldwing had no issues and we did not scrape any footpegs.

https://rumble.com/v12yfmi-tight-curves-on-ar-123-headed-south-ozark-national-forest.html

Next is a video of us leaving town to take the ride.

https://rumble.com/v12ye24-leaving-harrison-ar-for-day-trip.html

This is the start of the ride on AR 123.  Its very scenic and has lots of really good views and some nice look ahead hills.

https://rumble.com/v12yeyc-starting-the-climb-south-on-ar-123.html

Headed toward the tight curves in the first video.

https://rumble.com/v12yf78-headed-to-the-tight-curves-on-ar-123.html

And finally, headed down hill and back toward Harrison, AR

Todays Ride:  About 200 miles from Harrison, AR to Forest City, AR.   Had some very good BBQ in Forest City.

About fifteen minutes ago we were hit with a Tornado Warning.  The track, according to my information is just al title south of us.  Don't know how far south but at least several miles, if you believe the weather forecast.

Oh, the warning was stated to be until 8:30PM Local time.  Its now 8:02 PM.   Counting down.

Tornado Watch extended to 2100.   Still not much rain or winds where we are.

No tornados were spotted in our area and no reports from other areas yesterday evening.

Things were very nice until 0730 today when the power in the general area (hotel included) went out.

Was out for about 90 minutes.

Just another "event" on the road.

The hotel we are staying in tonight has very, very slow upload speed.  So, I only got one video uploaded.

It is leaving Forrest City, AR headed to Russellville, AL.  The trip here was mostly secondary roads and some are not so great.  They closed to the Mississippi River we were, the worst the road conditions.  But we are on truly secondary MS roads.

https://rumble.com/v138jib-headed-south-on-ar-1.html

https://rumble.com/v138usf-crossing-the-mississippi-river-west-to-east-us-49.html

Edited to add second video link after it finished uploading last night

Returned home today.   About 2,100 total miles.  Will add some more videos later today.

Here are some videos.

First, the view from the parking lot of the Best Western Mountain View in East Ellijay, GA.   Very nice view and good from your hotel room if you are on the second floor facing front.  However, the driveway is very, very steep and concrete with some major potholes.

https://rumble.com/v13ffvf-view-from-the-hotel-parking-lot.html

This is the only safe way down from the hotel on my Goldwing pulling the trailer.   Maybe one day it will get paved.

https://rumble.com/v13fg66-leaving-the-best-western-mountain-view-east-ellijay-ga.html

Next some rural roads in Georgia head toward SC.   My GPS gets "frisky" at times and we get routed on some unusual roads.

https://rumble.com/v13fgd7-rural-ga-near-ellijay-ga.html

https://rumble.com/v13fgq9-rural-ga-roads.html

And finally a ride through Clayton, GA

https://rumble.com/v13fgzp-clayton-ga.html

If you had gone straight on at that last stop light it would have taken you to Warwoman Rd. I lived about 200 yards off it at the Clayton end and I believe I rode it enough to leave a groove in the black top.

Without a doubt Clayton is in the center of some of the best riding roads in the S.E. My 3 years there was riding heaven.

7 different ways to get out of town and all, if not immediately, very quickly turn into great rides.

I remembered you lived there for sometime, made sure I got the video.

Interesting name, Warwoman Road.   Will look for it next time.
