Sad to say Dave Jones ( VRCC Backroad Biker)  passed away earlier this week.

He had been battling a few different medical issues over the last few years and at 78yrs  (if I recall correctly) it all caught up with him.
He had sold his other motorcycles but kept the Valk  hoping to ride again but the end of last year he finally broke down and sold the ole girl.

I met Dave back in the "Marcus Dairy" days about the same time as meeting Larry P and BOZ . I guess about 2004.  We all met most every Sunday and rode, well, when we could get Dave to finish one of his "short" stories  Wink .
Dave was well liked by everyone he met and always ready to help anyone in any way. Myself, VRCC and the entire motorcycle community lost a good one.

You will be missed old friend !!!

have a fun Dave story

Around 2004 I asked Dave if I could come to his place and he could show me the right way to do the front brake change.

Y'all know that little clip that flies out........

Dave says oh it flew out and we tried to find it in his driveway with no luck

Turns out it never flew out it was just so dirty he didnt see it

At the time he had 2 old 4 cyl wings he was working on

We had a good laugh at that brake clip

RIP Dyno Dave

Well said Dan... Those were the good ole days and Dave was a good ole guy.  We spent many a Sunday together riding and chatting and the memories will always be there.  He will be missed for sure....
