The lack of pictures will attest to the exhaustion. I'll set the stage so you can hook your imaginin muscle into it.
Though Sweet Cheeks day started off in a brisk 50 degree morning up in the higher elevations of Colorado it quickly warmed up as she strode to the lower elevations. Down in my neck of the woods it was in the 90's with a warm wind a blowing.
She pulled into my garage around noon where I had the garage somewhat cleaned up and the lift jack ready to do it's thing. Janice had come down to put the finishing touches on BG2 (Big Buy 2?). We need to take a slight detour to explain the bikes name. See Janice is one of these extremely spoiled motorheads that has two Valkyries. She previously rode a VTX which she fondly named BoB

. After she had gotten her first Valk I had asked her what she named him, and all she'd come up with was Big Guy. Well after she'd gotten her second Valk we had just start referring to him as "BG2"
Detour aside we can now get back on track. Earlier (April 2022) Janice had made her annual pilgrimage from Alabama to Colorado and had swung by to pick up BG2 since I'd spent the winter working on him getting him road worthy and ridable for all 5'0" of Sweet Cheeks. This meant lowering the bike.
Janice had previously purchased a set of older Progressive shorty shocks that I had installed, and man were these bastards hard. Just riding around town beat me up. I might have well as made a hard tail Valk! It only took one ride home for her to figure out these were not going to cut it. And so, new shocks were purchased and a time was set to install them.
Now one thing you should know about our beloved Sweet Cheeks is she's become a bit of a Chromosexual, and I ain't lying! Bag rails and a louder (chrome, of course) horn was also on the agenda.
So it was on this warm day that we sprang into action. I was planning on taking a long lunch during my work day to complete the upgrades. I had justified this time frame because of Sweet Cheeks willingness to jump in and wrench. She's quite handy (err should I say creative) ya know

. Reality quickly set in as I pulled the newly delivered shocks out. New bushings were in order

(time). Anyone who's ever installed bag rails knows what a cluster

those are (more time). And re-wiring/relocating a horn (lots of time)! Now I ain't cornplainin. The distraction from a demanding job was welcoming, and any time spent with her Sweetness is preferred over many other things.
It was way, way later than we'd both expected and we were both tuckered out when the work was completed. "Exhausted" one could say. I literally asked Janice if she was okay to ride home!
Good news is BG2 now rides like BG, her hard bags are protected, and she can now blast any distracted motorist off the road with the louder horn.
Here's a pic of Sweet Checks picking up BG2 back in April (that's a

not a middle finger)
