Hey all,

I have been lurking from time to time but rarely post any more...

I got a call yesterday afternoon from an ex-wife, Laura, of a friend of ours.  Seems that Steve K (IA) passed away on Saturday :'(  Steve and I were friends for quite a few years (dating back to the RJ days), and rode together for quite a few miles (met him at InZane II or III?). He had some health issues, and evidently succumbed to the 90+ heat in the Midwest this past weekend.

While he and I differed in our views on politics, our friendship was better than that, and we had a good time no matter what we were doing or where we were  Wink

I spoke to Steves daughter, Jessie yesterday, and said I would pass this information on...

I may attend, but it is next Friday afternoon (Memorial Day Weekend).

Just when the highway straightened out for a mile
And I was thinkin' I'd just cruise for a while
A fork in the road brought a new episode
Don't you know...

Conform, go crazy, or ride a motorcycle...

I remember conversing with him on the board from time to time, though I never met him in person. Thanks for the update, I often wonder about  the voices we don’t here from for a good while. Sorry to hear of his passing.

I did not know the gentlemen but I was at InZane II at least we might have that in common.

I struggle, at times, on what to say about the passing of someone whom I did not know well but we shared common interests (AKA Riding).  By accident, I found this song by Tim McGraw.

I offer it here as a way of remembering an "old friend".

Sad news indeed.  Steve made me a set of custom pegs for my Mick O’Pegs back in the day.  Also rode chairlift up a mountain in Bellaire, MI at Inzane. He was scared of heights and told me to just keep talking to get his mind off the ride.  Had a good laugh at the end.

I have no information on any service or funeral plans, perhaps someone closer to his family can provide info.

I’m sorry to hear about your friend. I haven’t seen him post much in the last few years, but he always seemed like a good dude to me.  angel

So sorry to hear of this. Had many friendly conversations at various InZanes over the years. As Blackdog said, we had different political views but had many common interests and I always enjoyed his company.

Sorry to hear this. At one time he had a purple Valk and attended a couple of the old covered bridge rides in Indiana. Was a friend of mine on FB also. RIP Steve
