It seems like just days ago I was in Ohio at the last Inzane. Even though I rode a borrowed bike some I still have vivid memories of the trip and the tech sessions and the sidewalk carb rebuilds. Now another Inzane is just around the corner, how can it be possible? The Spring Fling was another gathering that crept up on me but with a little scrambling I was able to make a deal on another bike and make my first long distance ride in a decade. That ride came and went in a heartbeat and in a matter of weeks it was Dragon Weyr time which almost slipped by me but I and Rams made it if only for a few hours.
I won’t be in Billings this time for a lot of reasons but I’m sure it will be a great success especially if that dunk tank gets set up. I’m planning a I Missed Inzane Ride somewhere during that week and make a few memories as I have a lot of unexplored territory in my backyard.
Time waits for no one and I’m convinced that it speeds up the older I get.

John, for me, years started going faster at about 15 years old, and have only sped up ever since. In memory, lazy summers at 6-10 years old lasted forever. And I went barefoot all summer, and was bummed out I had to put shoes back on to go back to school.

Think of it as what percentage of your existence a year is.
To a ten year old, one year is 1/10th of their existence.
To a fifty year old, one year is 1/50th of their existence.
Makes a lot more sense when you look at it like that...
(This was explained to me by one of the triplets.... Seriously...)

As I am a lot older than you, I have a different perspective. I think about it in seasons. Odds are I have maybe 20 summers left with the people I love. Maybe a little more, maybe a little less. When I was a ten year old it seemed there were endless summers left. I hope everyone enjoys their Inzane.

Billings will be a wonderful gathering of family and friends. I've yet to attend an InZane that wasn't a great experience. Reference that Dunk Tank, I'm thinking we'd have to bring our own. Staff didn't seem all enthralled with that idea. As far as time passing goes, I quit checking my watch. I'm just gonna enjoy what time I have left. This assumes I can still afford to buy fuel and ride. Rams

Hmm...that makes it 1/84 for me. Now you know why I'm riding to IZ, 1130 miles one way. Last year round trip was approx. 1222 miles but I covered roughly 3k by the time I got back to the hovel. At this time I'm tossing around the idea of heading for Shreveport, LA to meet up with The Mountain Man for more artwork. That's an extra 1500+ miles one way, more if I go through Ft. Worth to see my friend Carman Allen...did the leather seats for me. Then heading back north would be another 1100 if going direct...which I wouldn't do, more inclined to do a 1300+ return from LA. If I do what I'm thinking of doing, I'll cover over 4k, not counting side trips at IZ and elsewhere. Going to be an interesting summer indeed. Might have to change my shorts a couple times.

Mathematically correct but,,,,,,, I can tell time by bill paying, once all the months bills are paid, I get a couple of nights rest and then they start rolling in again.

I regularly feel that I’m lost in the twilight zone, but that’s probably just a personal issue that most of you have never experienced!

Blake? Yup. We were discussing the attendance of the triplets at the prior IZ in Billings, and I said it was "only" 5 years ago.... That's when he pointed out that 5 years ago for me is only 1/10th of my life experience, but 1/2 of his...
