I picked up 2 Cushman scooters recently.
I know very little about them.
So can anyone tell me about what year and model they are.
The baby blue one should run the other one is missing a few parts and the license plate is from 1967.
They both turn over.

The amount of love that people have for stuff like CT-70s and such from
the 60s and 70s has increased a lot lately. The love appears to have extended to
Cushmans...

Top one in Baby Blue is an Eagle model.  Color of my 1958 Eagle I bought to deliver newspapers in Detroit suburb.  My 1958 was a 5 hp......prior years were 8 hp.  Most were belt to chain drive but the "big mod" was to make them chain to chain drive (never did it myself).  Don't remember much more than that other than I pretty much rode it 365 days a year regardless of weather to deliver the Detroit News.  Rode that darn thing all over the place.  Top speed was just under 60mph but I could get in the 65mph area by laying down flat out on it with body on seat and "buddy seat" with feet/legs  dangling out the back.  8hp models would do closer to 63-65 in a normal riding position.

Centrifugal force clutch - two speed trans

Nice finds!

Perhaps you will find more useful/pertinent info below.  GOOD LUCK !!

Yes , the lightblue one is an early Silver Eagle model and the dark blue one is a Cushman Highlander scooter. The Silver eagle was a two speed and was hand shifted while the Highlander had a centrifical clutch and requiring no shifting . The Highlander I had would run an easy 65 mph .  Fun machines for  sure , I rode that thing everywhere and it never stranded me and always started .  Those were good days indeed.

There was a Cushman rally near Clayton, GA a few years ago.

There were dozens zipping around the area.

Some had fitted ATV or Snowmobile engines????

They usually had Clinton engines. I may still have a engine manual in the shop. I will look when I get back there
If you want it I will send it to you

I know nothing about them, but I'm interested.

Please post more as you go along.

The dogs seem unimpressed.  Grin

All I know about them was an older friend of mine had a Cushman in the early 60’s that had twin chrome pipes running down both sides of the rear body work. Our road back then was gravel and I still remember Ronnie cruising by our house kicking up a cloud of dust and I thought it was the coolest thing I had ever seen. This was before the Honda revolution and a motorcycle of any type was a rare sight in my neck of the woods.

Not long after those days, the local hardware store became a dealer for Bridgestone motorcycles so on Saturdays, while my parents were grocery shopping, I would be slobbering all over the creaky hardwood floors of Caulk Hardware in Campbellsville, Kentucky. I was hooked and daydreamed for years about owning my own one day.

My father used to bring me to different motorcycle shops. I,
of course, wanted to go to Japanese motorcycle shops where
they had mini bikes and motorcycles my size. He took me to
Harley shops too. Back before Harley shops were Boutique
Shoppes.
