Based on the metadata encoded in his picture, looks like he's on Pecan Circle outside Elizabeth, Colorado southeast of Denver...

Near Elizabeth, but nowhere near a Pecan Circle. Not sure such a street exists around here.

D'oh! Can't believe I got that one wrong, I meant Gold Creek... Wink

Sure hope that stuff blows out soon since I'll be coming through Colorado and points north in a week and don't fancy riding through snow!

Posted this in the tech board in an unrelated post where local travel came up.  Thought I'd paste it here in case it can help any potential travelers.

Yeah major construction in just a few miles patch has really goobered things up 'tween Montrose and Gunni.  Of course traffic can divert via 92, but that just makes it thick and has trashed that road worse than it ever was.  Big semis on Hwy. 92 have even had some jackknifing issues too.  Most truck drivers are aware of this now and make other plans.  I'm figuring when the construction is over, they'll have some major repairs to do on 92, too.

Tip.  From 5:30pm Fridays to 8:30am Mondays they open up the highway for weekend traffic, but on weekdays they're only letting limited traffic through and you can expect a good long wait.

Don't count on CDOT doing any more than patching the worst places on CO-92. Highway maintenance is a very low priority with the current governor and legislature. There's much more important stuff to do, like providing free tents, meals, and even laundry service for the homeless camps in Denver! I was on a stretch of state highway in NE Colorado last month that was probably as bad as roads in third world nations.

I'm wouldn't agree with that. Back when the pavement was good and without the construction on US-50, it was one of the best roads in Colorado. There are so many curves it reminds me of Highway 1 in California.

92 is special, alright.  It's even more special with all the potholes, cracks, snakes uneven lanes and extra traffic.  Depending on your chosen speed, it's kinda like being in a video game!

I have a friend that lives in Wallowa County Oregon. They received a coating of that wonderful white stuff on 05/30.
I should not include myself in this conversation. I live in NE Ohio. never know what Momma Natur has in store for us.
