I picked up a low mileage (20,000 miles) valk for $3000.
Low speed jets were obviously dirty as low speed operation was rough...once rpm was up bike ran fine.
Every few tanks of fuel I would add a few ounces of acetone to the fuel.
Took the bike out today for the first ride of the season and the rough low speed operation is gone completely.
I didn't drain the carbs before winter.
Parked the bike after the last ride and magic happened.
I was so happy today when the bike just ran perfect.

Very dangerous for a Valkyrie. The floats are all plastic. Acetone is plastic’s arch enemy. Hopefully it didn’t deform the floats

Not to mention the rubber tips on the float valves. Next time try B-12 gas treatment.

+1.

Has smoothed out a number of rough runners for me.

A few ounces in 5 gallons probably doesn’t hurt anything, here’s from the MSDS on berry mans B12 not all that friendly either, that is if you ran it heavily concentrated.
Xylene is the 40-50%

Berryman user here also. Used as solvent to clean the jets of a GW. I used Seafoam to clean my Valk when I first got it. 2 mi. later the dragon awoke that was 9 yrs. ago and I haven't touch the carbs other than checking the synch. Replaced the manifold o'rings with Viton o'rings. I'm sure old age will rear its head but all is good so far.
