Standing guard over the Valk, while the Mrs and me enjoyed an early supper at the Blue Moose cafe in Hope, BC. Hope is where the original  Rambo movie, First Blood, was filmed and it is also a significant chainsaw-carving centre, hosting major competitions and displaying great works such as this one of John Rambo throughout the town. Folks in Hope have always taken their ties to the Rambo franchise seriously ...even to this day they'll run First Blood several times a year at their little old-time cinema in the heart of town and celebrate the movie's anniversary.

Do they still have that sheriff that runs people in for vagrancy and uses the fire hose on them?   Grin

Thought that was Jess for a minute.

I have neither the hair, the muscles, or the M60.

I do have the pants and boots and occasionally the attitude, but that's the end of the similarities.  Smiley

Jess, you would be more than welcome to stand guard over my Valk while the Mrs and I enjoyed a meal in Hope, if you were ever to take me up on my previous invite to come up for a visit  Grin
You wouldn't need an M60...or even an over-abundance of muscles or hair, as I'm thinking your "occasional" attitude would be more than enough to get the job done effectively  cooldude

Thanks (very much) for the offer Mike.  I'd love to visit, but it's unlikely.

How some of these guys make these carvings with chainsaws is amazing. Several weeks ago a home not too far from me had a tree taken down on their front lawn but left about a 3’ piece of the trunk standing and it has a bear cub face on it. It makes me smile when I drive past it.  Smiley
