Valhalla - September 8-11 @ Johnny's Motel in Grand Forks, BC

As of today, there are 12 rooms left at the hotel (we have the whole motel blocked off). There is a large parking lot, and some rooms have carports...lots of rooms for ...ahem...trucks & trailers, if you must  Smiley
Reservations can be made by calling Johnny's direct @ 250-442-8242, indicating that you are with the Valhalla Valkyrie group. Or you can reserve online @ www.johnnysmotel.ca

Preliminary schedule of events is as follows...keep checking in here for further updates:

Thursday, September 8
1. Arrive at Motel and meet & greet in the parking lot
2. On your own for Supper

Friday, September 9
1. Meetup at Lyle's (Cowboy) Valkyrie/Wing shop in Grand Forks for coffee & donuts in the AM
2. Planned group ride(s) to Kootenay Lake/Nelson/Kaslo/New Denver, etc. with stop for lunch
3. Meet up at Johnny's for supper plans (there are BBQ's in the back yard next to the river)
4. Campfire in back yard or parking lot. Welcoming of any first-time attendees ("sponsored" by Fireball Whiskey Grin )

Saturday, September 10
1. Breakfast in town, at the local Valkyrie group hangout (good coffee shop/restaurant cooldude)
2. Planned lunch rides...options include Rock Creek, Beaverdell, Rossland, or West again
3. Meet back at Johnny's for BBQ supper (grocery stores nearby) campfire, and festivities
NOTE: a couple of Valhalla traditions for this evening include...
    1. Gift exchange...maximum $20 value. All those who wish to participate, bring a gift...can be
anything, a joke gift, MC-related, one for the ladies, etc.
    2. Bring your favorite Hawaiian Shirt to wear this evening (Redline may have sold his Valk, but
he lives on at Valhalla cooldude cooldude
    3. Awards...longest in the saddle to attend, and others TBA
    4. Stories, lies, and other assorted goings on.

Sunday, September 11
    1. Breakfast on your own
    2. Safe rides home everyone

Let's fill up all the rooms...hope to see some more new attendees this year, and of course all the old "veterans". To all our US friends...all border restrictions except vaccination requirements, have been lifted as of this date.

got the ok from the boss - hoping to be there myself. I tried to look at booking online, but showed nothing available online - I'm assuming it's because we have it blocked off? I'll try to get a call in later today to check.

Yes, we do have the whole motel blocked off for us...so calling direct  is best. There are other small motels close by if it gets sold out, but last time I checked it wasn't yet. Look forward to meeting/seeing you there  cooldude

For those traveling from US Hwy 20 has construction happening now. 17 mile stretch from Nehalem to about Rockport their chip sealing the road.  What the condition will be in 2 weeks. Guess will see. Just wanted to share. Ride safe.
